2. Introduction to CFSL
The full form of CFSL is central forensic science laboratory. It also said as it
is a wing of Indian ministry of home affairs. It works on the central level in
Indian under control of the directorate of forensic science services (DFSS).
There is total seven CFSL's in India are as follows.
1) Kolkata
2) Hyderabad
3) Guwahati
4) Chandigarh
5) Pune
6) Bhopal
7)New Delhi

3. What is Jurisdiction ?
1) Jurisdiction is one of law term, in which the authority of court to
hear and determine cases.
2)Jurisdiction is one type of the legal power or an authority
in which particular area the powers which can be used.
3)The six CFSL are work under Ministry of home affairs, Central level
but only one CFSL which is present New Delhi they works under the
Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Delhi.

as well as civil matters with four disciplines which are Ballistics,

6. 2)Hyderabad
1)It was established in year 1967.
2)It this CFSL Ballistics, Biology, Chemistry, Digital Forensic,
DNA Profiling, Questioned Document, Explosives, Toxicology,
physics, Psychology, etc.are present.

7. 3)Guwahati
1)It was established in year 2011.
2)The Ballistics, Biology, Chemistry, Documents, Explosives, Physics,
Narcotics, Toxicology divisions are present.

1)It was established in year 1972.
2) It is a first FSL in India who achieve accreditation of
Voice Analysis.

9. 5)Pune
1)It was established in year 2011.
2)Toxicology, Biology, Serology, DNA, Physics, Tape
Authentication,Cyber Forensics this division is
present.

10. 6)Bhopal
1)It was established in year 2011.
2) Bhopal is Presently Functioning with Biology, Chemistry,
Documents, Explosives and Physics Divisions.
3)Following states are comes under this FSL.

c) Rajasthan
d) Chhattisgarh

11. 7
)NewDelhi
1)It was established in year 1968.
2) This lab was create for Scientific support and
services as well as is mainly works under CBI.
3)It is one of the most compressive laboratory in our country
who examines evidences of various divisions such as ballistics,
serology, chemistry, physics, documents, forensics photography,
forensic psychology, fingerprinting,etc.
