Definition of Curriculum According to Experts
According to Daniel Tanner and Laurel Tanner
The curriculum is a learning experience that is directed and planned
in a structured and structured manner through a process of
systematic reconstruction of knowledge and experience under the
supervision of educational institutions so that students have
motivation and interest in learning.
According to UU. NO. 20 Years ( 2003 )
The definition of curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements
regarding the objectives, content and teaching materials as well
as the methods used as guidelines for the implementation of
learning activities to achieve national education goals.
According to Inlow (1966)
The curriculum is a comprehensive effort
specifically designed by schools in guiding students
to obtain the results of the lessons that have been
determined.
According to Kerr J. F (1968)
The definition of curriculum is a learning that is
designed and implemented individually and in
groups both outside and inside the school.
Curriculum development is the process and way of running a curriculum in
accordance with what has been planned so as to get maximum results.
Meanwhile, according to Oermar Hamalik quoted by Uruh & Uruh develop the
definition of curriculum development, namely curriculum development :
problems, processes, and progress is at contemporary circumatances and
future projections.

We need a curriculum because during the
teaching and learning process in an
education we must have rules or
benchmarks that must be followed in
carrying out the teaching and learning
process so that what we want can be
achieved and meet targets.
Definition of Curriculum Development According to
Experts
Curriculum development, according to Oliva (1992: 26),
has a more comprehensive meaning, which includes planning,
implementation, and evaluation.
Print (1993:23)
defines the term curriculum development as construction which is the
second phase in the curriculum development process, namely the
process from a conceptual one to a curriculum document that is ready to
be implemented and evaluated.

Types of curriculum
development
Current curriculum types can be broken down
into two broad categories:
1.The product model
2.The process model.

The product model is results-oriented. Grades
are the prime objective, with the focus lying
more on the finished product rather than on the
learning process.
The process model is more open-ended, and
focuses on how learning develops over a
period of time. These two models need to be
taken into account when developing a
curriculum.
