This document outlines a study on the lived experiences of adolescents' social behavior after parental death. It introduces the topic and discusses three theories that will be used: attachment theory, Worden's tasks of mourning, and continuing bonds theory. The study aims to investigate the effects of parental death on adolescents' psychosocial functioning and behavioral/emotional responses. It will also examine coping strategies, and the roles of family, peers, school, and social environment in their recovery. A qualitative phenomenological approach will be used, interviewing 10 adolescents aged 19-24 who experienced parental death. Snowball sampling, interviews, observations, and thematic analysis will be employed.
