HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY STATEMENT
Quorum Mining and Relining services is a specialist company providing
various services in the fields of contract mining and mill relining.
As a company we recognise our duty to comply with the various regulations
pertaining to the Mines Health and Safety Act and the Occupational Health and
Safety Act.
Quorum Management will as far as reasonably practicable:
 Provide adequate resources to maintain Health and Safety
 Carry out risk assessment and review when necessary
 Provide safe and healthy working environment for employees and contractors
 Establish arrangements for the use, transportation , handling, storage of
articles and substances provided for use at work, which are safe and without
risk to employees
 Provide employees with Instructions, training, information, and supervision as
to ensure their Safety and Health and that of others in the working
environment.
 Carry out Health surveillance where needed
 Ensure all machinery and equipment is effectively maintained in a Safe
Condition
 Ensure the work place is Safe and Access and Egress is without risk
 Monitor Safety achievements
 Ensure continual improvement measures are updated and recorded
Duties of Quorum employees and Contractors
 Take reasonable care of their own Safety and that of employees in the
workplace
 Co-operate with others to ensure that the company complies with its statutory
duties
 Not to interfere ,misuse or wilfully damage anything provided ion the interest
of Safety
To ensure that this policy is effective Quorum management and stakeholders
will revise this policy at least annually All changes to this policy will be noted
and communicated to all employees during safety meetings and discussions.
