4. What site selection means?
• •Multiple factors and criteria enter into the decision on
• whether to build a project on a given site.
• •Studies should be made to determine whether a site is
• suitable for the intended project.
• •Once selected, the same factors also influence how
• the project is laid out on a site.
• •Three main categories of factors provide influence to
• the site selection and layout process.

6. CLIMATIC CONDITION
Before selection of site we need to keep
climatic condition in mind. Following
climatic factors that affects selection of
sites.

8. NATURE OF SOIL
•Soils need to be acceptable for construction
•Ability to support foundations
•Ability to be compacted and maintain volume
•Ability to be drained
9. GEOLOGY
• •Rock outcroppings can indicate the presence of a
• shallow bedrock elevation.
• •Shallow bedrock can lead to foundation and trench
• excavation difficulties and expenses.
• •Shallow bedrock may be desirable for foundation
• anchorage for large structures.
10. HYDROLOGY
•Underground water level:-
• Underground water level is not so high
and not so low. If underground water
level is high then they can’t absorb
water properly . And if water level is
low then water supply for site is not
possible.

• Try to minimise the risk of flood
chances. Try to choose those site
where flood chances is low. If any site
is flood proe then skip that or don’t try
to construct heavy and costly building
or anything.
12. FLORA AND FAUNA
• We take care of our ecology and trying to don’t harm our
wildlife, vegetation or forest From our construction
process.
• We take care of our ecosystem. And try to prortect flora
and fauna. We keep in mind that no harm to these from
site.

•Can users get to/from site without causing
congestion?
•From what directions does traffic enter &
leave?
•Is public transit available nearby?
•Are improvements to the system
warranted?

• Some imoortant infrastructure is neccesary to present
near by like:-
• Schools
• Hospitals
• Police station
• Firestation
• Shops
• etc
