strongly established, then you will automatically execute the below
actions.
▪ Avoid keeping animals in captivity
▪Do not buy tickets for any entertainment show using animals
▪Approach NGOs already working in such issues for guidance
▪Influence decision makers (politicians, police, forest department,
animal welfare board, ministries, any animal owner) if they are your
friends (or) relatives.
▪Immediately react and sensitize people who own captive animals
▪Avoid buying captive animals
▪If your job is law enforcement work (politician, police, government
official, judge) then you can use your power to enforce law.
▪If you are an veterinary doctor then provide free treatment and also
sensitize government officials and people holding captive animals.
▪If you are a lawyer, then provide free legal support.
40. What you can do to eliminate captive animals ? Continues……
▪If you are a member of a club owning captive animals, immediately
sensitize the club management and rehabilitate the animals.
▪If you are part of media , then use the power of media to highlight the
issues.
▪Volunteer for NGOs who are working for captive animals.
▪Any skills can be used for volunteering (investigation, advocacy,
photography ,video, research, legal cases, communication skills, media
relations)
▪Provide financial /material support to remove animals in distress
▪Don’t wait for some one to do the above, start your own network of
like minded friends and start working on issues. (even if it very small
activity, that is a major change for the animal rescued)
▪Sensitize youth in schools and colleges
▪Youth -> dedicate at-least one day in a week for such social causes.
▪Regular follow-ups are extremely important for success of any project.
▪Think of new ideas to ensure the welfare of animals (see following pics)
