1. ELECTRICAL SUPPLY SYSTEM
SEWERAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Electrical By Law - Electricity Supply Act 1997
(Act 477) Pu (A) 38/94 Electricity Regulation 1974
Regulation 15 Apparatus, Conductor, Accessory, etc.
1. Any apparatus, conductor or accessory for the purpose
of connection to an installation shall be sufficient in size,
power and number to serve the purpose, which is intended
and shall be constructed installed, arranged, protected,
worked and maintained in such a manner to prevent danger.
Regulation 16 Switch, Switch fuse, Fuse Switch, Circuit Breaker,
Contractor, Fuse, etc.
Any fuse or circuit breaker shall be
(a) Constructed and arranged in such a manner so as to
break the current when it exceeds a given value for the
sufficient time to prevent danger and
(b) Constructed, guarded or placed in a manner as to
prevent danger of over heating, from scattering of hot
metal or other substance.
Reasoning:
Appliances in the building might require high voltage of
electricity. Thus the size of the wire is increased to allow
larger supply of power to be channeled.
Sewerage System By Law
(Law of Malaysia Act 133, Street, Building, and Drainage Act 1974)
Under Law of Malaysia Act 133, no water pipe, stack pipe or downspout
used for the convening surface from any premises shall be used or be
permitted to serve or to act as ventilating shaft to any drain/sewer.
Compliance of Building Law of Malaysia, the installation and design of
sanitary place is safe, so that the disposal of waste can be directed out
of the premises safely without threatening the health of occupants.
Vent stack openings should be 900mm above the roof to avoid stain
and ease of expulsion.
Reasoning:
UPVC is used for the waste pipe as it is more durable and cost efficient.
