Here, I worked in a group to create a memorandum for an HR department. In the group, my role was to bring awareness to clerical responsibilities and solve their dilemmas. I learned how to be more concise, formal, and logically organized. The challenges I faced were applying different perspectives. Completing this project has made me have skills such as analyzing authorization material and elucidating obstacles in the workplace that will help in a company organization's future.

Introduction:
We are human and we are bound to get sick every now and then. As a company we care about
the health of our employees and we want to make sure you are all feeling your best when you
come into work. If the time comes where you are feeling sick and need to call out of work,
please refer to the procedures below to give us ample time to prepare for your absence. We’d
rather have you stay home and get well as fast as possible so you can return to work promptly.
Procedure:
● Call or email to notify the office of your absence as soon as possible.
● Find a replacement for your position if possible.
● If COVID-19 related, get tested, and return once the test is negative.
○ Accommodations for remote work will be made.
● Regarding COVID-19, if you believe you are positive for the virus, you will work from
home until an official test states that you are negative for the virus.
○ If symptoms are serious and prevent you from working, contact us and you will
be given the necessary time off plus time to recover.
● Provide a doctor's note if applicable.
Summary:
We understand that everyone is bound to get sick at one point in time or another, so all we ask is
that you follow the procedures above. If you have any questions or concerns, or feel that you will

Subject: Policy and Procedures for Arriving Late
Date: September 27, 2020
Introduction:
It is essential to our company’s success that all employees be on-time and ready for each day at
work. Without all employee’s compliance and punctuation, our company cannot succeed to its
fullest extent. Nonetheless, we are all human and things do come up. If possible, let the office be
aware if you are going to be running late, but do not make it a habit. Habitual tardiness will
result in a write up. Multiple write ups may lead to possible termination.
Procedure:
● If you find yourself running to work late one day, send the office an email or give us a
call and let us know why you’re running late.
○ You should know whether your reason for being late is an acceptable excuse.
○ Family emergencies are an acceptable way of excusing yourself from a meeting or
work day or being late.
○ Waking up late is NOT an acceptable excuse.
● As an employee you’re expected to let authorized personnel know that you will be late
for work.
● If an employee shows up to work late multiple times without a valid excuse they will be
written up.
○ NOTE: Multiple write ups may lead to termination.
Summary:
As a company we understand in life you will have situations that come up in life that are
unexpected, however we expect our high quality employees to strive to overcome adversity when
they face it at our company. If you have further questions please use the following email to get in

day.
