6. KRAs : Key Result Areas
“Key Result Areas” or KRAs, also called “Key
Performance Areas” (KPAs) refer to general areas of
outcomes or outputs for which a role, or a
combination of roles, is responsible. These are the
areas within the organization where an individual or
group, is logically responsible / accountable for the
results.

• Clarify Role
• Align the roles to the organization's business or
strategic plan
• Focus on results rather than activities
• Communicate the role’s purposes to others
• Prioritise activities, and improve time/work
management
• Make value-added decisions
A typical area targets three to five KRAs.
