2. Introduction
• A former member of the United States Supreme
Court Bar, Paul Seeman has served as a judge for the
Alameda County Superior Court in Oakland,
California, and as an attorney in private practice in
Berkeley and San Francisco. He also lectured on the
sociology of law and juvenile justice at his alma
mater, the University of California, Santa Cruz. On
the Alumni Council at Santa Cruz, Paul Seeman
served for a time as Vice President.
This year, in 2015, the Alumni Association at the
University of California, Santa Cruz, is celebrating
the 50th anniversary of the founding of the campus.
3. Alumni Association at the University of
California, Santa Cruz
• The Association seeks to keep alumni connected
with the campus through their website at
alumni.ucsc.edu. Founded in 1968 and open to the
network of 80,000-plus alumni, the Association is a
membership organization whose purpose is:
- To promote, influence, and support the
educational, cultural, and social life of UCSC, and
- To provide alumni with the means to serve the
campus, its colleges, and its students, and to help
guide the campus into the future
