◆ The college fair will be very busy as far
college ambassadors and college reps
at each section to help guide them.
◆ We should research our college(s) we
may want to attend, and have very good
quality questions for them to answer.
◆ The outcomes can be the education you
get from each college stand and
especially expanding your knowledge
about each one you attend.
◆ You get to know more information from
the specific college rep instead of
referring to the website itself.
◆ More than likely they should if not then
they will give you contact card.
◆ Attending a college fair gives you
diversity and knowledge of whatever
you want to know.
2. East Carolina
University (ECU)
★ The Colors: In 1909, purple and
gold won the vote because of its
Eastern North Carolina sunsets.
★ Since 1907, ECU has been on
the map for one of the national
universities.
★ The Mascot came from the
university being so close to the
coast.
★ The Canon is a representation
of the beginning of a battle of
the beginning of every football
game.
★ It has a great nursing program
and freshman can have a car
during their first year.
3. Ohio State University
● The Ohio State Marching Band has been a great showing of Buckeye
pride throughout the years. The Ohio State Marching Band is also
known as ‘The Best Damn Band In The Land.’
● “Buckeye Battle Cry” became the fight song for OSU in 1919 and has
been a traditional song ever since.
● The ‘O-H! I-O!’ chant is chanted at every football game and other
exciting, major events to show OSU pride.
● A ceremonial tradition that dates back all the way to 1934, one
Buckeye tree is planted at the southwest corner of Ohio Stadium for
each All-American the previous season. This is done every year
before the spring game.
● Putting Buckeye Leaves on the Ohio State football helmets has been
a tradition since 1968
4. Vance Granville Community College
● Vance-Granville Community College is responsible for providing educational opportunity for
the residents of Vance, Granville, Franklin and Warren counties
● The majority of classes are taught on Main Campus between Henderson and Oxford, but a
