Participated in solid state lighting technology development such as light extraction technology for high
brightness LED, LED chipping process, high power/high density array platform development.
Managed the manufacturing process development for automated LED production in auto die attachment, metal
die bonding, and phosphor application.
Built and led lighting illuminaire development team: optics, thermal management, mechanical, industrial
design, hardware, and software control.
Supported sales and marketing in development of 5 well known global brands as Fiilex (image capture), Kessil
(aquarium and horticulture), Cielux (architecture), ScopeLED (biology and medical science), and Fiberlamp
(specialty fiber optic lighting).
MEMS Technology and Product Development
Developed optical MEMS technology, including MEMS chip design, 6” FAB setup, wafer process
development, MEMS chip test, MEMS chip packaging, active-alignment of MEMS chip, Optical MEMS
components packaging, and MEMS components qualification, etc.
Innovated and expanded MEMS product development and work with customers, such as North America OEM
customers and US defense contractors, to design-in customer’s system.
Led engineering team to develop automatic inspection machine to cover 24 hours / 7 days MEMS chips
inspection to release critical process work load.

In charge of developing Computer-Aided-Test system for CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)
automatic test platform, which integrates hydraulic servo-drive system, electronic control unit, data acquisition
system, and mechanical structure to fully automatic test all parameters needed for CVT engineering
development purpose.
In charge of developing Wave Generator system of wave tank for civil engineering including hydraulic Servo
system, electronic control unit, and data acquisition system.
Developed Automatic Baseball Batting Cages system for baseball batting range and build more than 20
Batting Ranges at designated locations as well.
Successfully developed high precision and high speed dynamic electronic weighing system for produce sorting
& grading factories. The system significantly improves process and cost efficiency for the factories and it
