Reporting to Senior Director of Sustaining Engineering, manage staff of 4-5 Configuration Analysts manager is responsible for
implementation and support of companywide documentation system used by R&D, product engineering, manufacturing,
supply chain, marketing and sales, and quality. Successfully integrated of a processed based, standardized documentation
system across multiple projects and product lines and involving multiple manufacturing and R&D facilities located in North

Responsibilities Include:
1. Responsible for implementation, administration and support of Agile PLM system versions AA2006 through 9.3.1.2 including
project management, roll out, training, policies and procedures, maintenance, continuous improvements, helpdesk support

principal responsibility for Managing Bose Engineering Documentation System including processing all Engineering Changes,
New Product Releases for bills of material, drawings, part numbers and deviations. Chair weekly multi-facility status meetings
involving US and International manufacturing locations. Satisfy standard management responsibilities for employee
motivation, reviews, training and budgets.
Responsibilities include
1. Manage the processing of over 2000 Engineering Change Notices per year, maintenance and release of all product
part numbers, BOMs, documents and Workflows using Windchill 8.0 Product Data Management system. Interface

–100 employees, providing Engineering Services including H/W Support, Software testing, BIOS and Driver Development,
Microsoft Certifications, Information Technology and Network Services for Mid to Large sized companies with annual Sales of
$15 million.
Reporting to the Vice President of Development, supervising staff of 8-10 professional and administrative staff with
primary responsibility for Corporate Engineering and Information Services including N/W Infrastructure, CM, Change
Management system, S/W & H/W Product Releases, part numbers, bills of material, Engineering drawings, specifications and
revision control. Also directed activities for Mechanical Engineering/Drafting, Compliance and Component Engineering, CAD
Administration, Packaging and Product costing for Personal Computer business. Chair weekly new product introduction and
ECO meetings. Work with Engineering Design, Outside Vendors, Marketing and PPM groups to define complex computer
solutions for home and business.
Major accomplishments include:
1. Researched, justified and implemented on-line PDM system (Product Data Management) System (Agile), to
improve corporate wide and Outsourced Manufacturing access to Engineering Documentation. Results:
Reduced ECO and Release process from 2 weeks to 3 days, improved information flow to over 300 internal and
external employees. Approximate savings to company $150K/yr.
2. Manage overall product release process including Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to successfully introduce
personal computer product lines. Provided Design support services for chassis assemblies, motherboards, sub-
assemblies, BOM coordination and Design reviews. Results: Satisfied major responsibility to provide
deliverables to all affected organizations including Manufacturing and Customer Service.
3. Supported PCB and “Box” Manufacturers (Jabil, Solectron and ACT) with Engineering Documentation
deliverables including PCB assembly Drawings, BOMs, AVL (approved vendor listings), ECO process,
component specifications, and file transfers. Results: Successfully released over 100 computer motherboards
on schedule to achieve First Customer Ship requirements.
4. Managed and Improved Compliance Testing processes for FCC, CE and UL certifications by doing more “in
house” troubleshooting. Responsible for review and approval of product DRL (Device Rating Label) which
includes all Regulatory Compliance Certifications. Results: saved company approximately $50 – 60K in outside
lab costs.
5. Managed IS department and N/W infrastructure which included application support, help desk and network
administration functions, procurement and implementation of all client and server hardware/software for
company, WAN issues, and virus protection. Managed project execution/changeover of Vibren’s corporate
network from MCI (UUNET) circuit to Sprint circuit, managed UNIX environment in support of Engineering design
application; Pro-Engineer and worked with software and hardware vendors to find most economic solutions
including Microsoft licensing for both client and server. Yearly budget of $.5 million. Results: Implemented
several infrastructure improvements including standardizing clients on Windows 2000. Reduced costs by $160K
for Application, Network administration and Help Desk support by outsourcing.
Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor, NEC/Packard Bell Inc., Sacramento CA - 1988 to 1998 Global manufacturer and
distributor of personal computers, monitors. Annual sales of over one billion

1. Managed Document Control for Personal Computer and Printer business units including New Product
Introduction and ECO coordination. Researched, justified and lead cross-functional team to establish first PDM
system “Keyfile” Released hundreds of personal computer products and options on schedule and within budget.
Successfully integrated Keyfile and SAP functionality to provide excellent Engineering documentation flow.
Results: Reduced ECO and Release process from three weeks down to one week, improved information flow to
over 500 employees, 75% reduction in space required for paper based filing systems. Approximate savings to

2. Major contributor to the implementation/conversion to new corporate ERP system, SAP. Participated in Business
Process Re-Engineering of Manufacturing and created “as is/to be” workflows. Trained staff, worked with

used on NEC Printed Circuit Boards. Results: increased quality on PCB components used by third party vendors

Distribution plant on schedule within 6 months.
2. Recommended improvements in existing Engineering documentation systems, including ECO and Release
systems. Appointed to revamp and enhance Documentation Control group, including procurement of capital
equipment, staffing, creating policies and procedures Results: started up Corporate Engineering Services,
eliminated multiple data bases, centralized part numbers and Engineering documentation. Satisfied ISO9002
