METALLURGY

Production Operations
 Directing overall production operations involving planning, plant operations, manufacturing, heat treatment, metallurgy
while managing staff strength of 125 working towards achieving monthly production capacity is 2500 MT.
 Overseeing the heat treatment and post heat treatment process shops and maintaining the optimum production &
shipment targets with optimum cost.
 Ensuring compliance with national & international standards (AMS, API, CQI etc) and keeping the ejections/reworks by
designing heat treatment cycle for auto parts & rings in control.
 Designing the process flow to identify hold/check points and extending metallurgical services to other division of the
plant such as steel consumables, fixtures.
 Adhering to QMS requirements (ISO/TS/AS) and leading the implementation of AS 9100.

2. Highlights
 Delivered the first time right production score of over 95% by designing an effective control plans for raw material
procurement & heat treatment.
 Credit of recording the highest ever production of 1470 MT, of heat treatment since the commissioning of the plant.
 Significantly brought down the rework in heat treatment from 9% to 3.4%, designed 2 big crankshafts & 100+ rings first
time right and facilitated the AS 9100 certification.
 Successfully automated the test certification process (excel based) which reduced the delivery time from 3 hours to 15
minutes and saved one man day.
 Played a key role in designing and implementing a excel based steel mill assessment report for which received
appreciation from key clients such as Volkswagen, GM, Bell Helicopter etc.

 Led the entire gamut of operations at the application management, business technology while ensuring compliance to
the regulatory requirements and liaised for audit related activities for RBI, SOX, GAAP, and IAD.
