Hillsboro Farmers’ Market, Hillsboro, OR 2014 – Present
Manager – Responsible for every aspect of this weekly event. Scheduling of entertainment, creation of
special events, recruitment and retention of vendors, developing a working budget of over $150,000 and
management of employees and volunteers and devising a logistics plan are all duties I performed.

Manager – Responsibilities included vendor recruitment and retention, creating annual budget of over
$100,000, volunteer training, Event logistics, development of marketing plan, protocol development, public
relations and implementation of overall event plan as prescribed by the Board of Directors.
Increased audience music expectations over 5 years from small town garage bands to
larger bands who had name recognition, dedicated following and professional CD’s to increase event
participation on any given day.
Increased revenue by 20% each year for 3 years, reversing a downward trend and making the event
profitable again. I accomplished this by restructuring the vendor fee schedule, increasing income
from soda and beer sales, and increasing the number of vendors attending per week.
Developed a logistical plan that allowed us to set-up and take down an event that hosted over 8,000
attendees on any given night.

Developed a Vendor inspection program that was devised to ensure that all vendors adhered to the
rules and guidelines for the event.
Created a poster art contest as a means to help promote both the Farmers’ Market event and the local
art community tying both the artist and the finished poster into various aspects of the event.
