Here is a story of why you should hire me.
Instead of creating a generic cover letter, I
decided to explore a more creative route.

2. Georgia has been my home for
the past 20 years. Although I was
born in Washington D.C., I was
raised in a suburban town with a
southern bell attitude. Although I
do appreciate the charm of the
south, I've always known that I was
a city girl at heart.
When it was time for me to
attend college, I was lucky enough
to get accepted to the University of
Georgia. I am eternally grateful for
all of the amazing experiences and
opportunities that were available to
me at this institution. These
opportunities have shaped me into
the passionate person I am today.
By studying public relations,
fashion merchandising, new media
and legal studies at UGA, I'v come
to discover the exact field I want to
pursue a career in.
3. When I was a freshman in
college, I joined Delta Gamma.
Being a member of this sorority
has helped me grow into a
stronger person, and it has given
me many opportunities to explore
fashion PR and find mentors in my
field. This sorority would be the
reason why I would go on to have
two amazing fashion and event
planning opportunities that
caused me to have a unique and
fulfilling college experience.
As mentioned in the previous
section, Delta Gamma exposed me
to the opportunity to be a UGA
ASOS campus manager and
representative. This was such an
enriching experience. I worked with
three other UGA students under a
company called Youth Marketing
Connections. To the left is a picture
of a fashion show I co-hosted with
the campus's Fashion
Design Student Association (I was
also on the public relations and
decor committee for this club and
helped produce the show).
4. Traveling and experiencing
new cultures is one of my
favorite hobbies. I had the
pleasure to participate in
UGA's study abroad program
at Oxford University the
summer after my sophomore
year. I learned so much about
international communications
and about myself during this
summer abroad.
I also had the opportunity
to travel around Europe every
weekend. One of my favorite
trips was to Paris. This city
intoxicated me. Paris’s unique
sense of fashion and lifestyle
put me in a trance, and I knew
that I had to work for a
company that associated
itself with multiple magical
cities around the world and
would allow me to potentially
travel the world for work.
5. When I returned to UGA, I devoted myself
to my schoolwork and campus clubs. FDSA
and the Student Merchandising Association
were two of my top priorities. Through these
clubs, I was able to have a huge role in UGA
Fashion Week. I served as a board member
and helped produce two fashion shows.
During my junior year, I was
also a campus representative for a
jewelry company called
SoulPepper Designs. I loved
working with the owner of this
startup company and really loved
hosting trunk shows, pop-up
shops and getting pieces from the
lines placed in fashion shows.
On top of being a campus rep, I
was also interning for a luxury
lifestyle and fashion show event
that benefited charity. This was a
huge learning experience because
I got to see behind-the-scenes
action and experience how much
hard, but fun, work goes into
producing a large-scale event.
6. The summer after junior year, I
was determined to land an internship
in NYC at a top fashion, beauty and
lifestyle public relations agency in the
city.
I moved to the city to intern for PR
Consulting and fell in love. During my
internship, I worked on the Loewe,
J.W.Anderson, Pringle of Scotland and
Sophie Theallet accounts. Although
every day was hectic, I saw energy
and creativity all around me. I had a
feeling that this city would be my
home one day.
After the summer, I returned
to UGA to start my last year of
college. That year, I was the PR
Director of UGA's PRSSA
Chapter. This club stretched me
to be the best professional
version of myself, and I honestly
believe it has prepared me for
the real world more than any
class could. *This is a picture

Board retreat
7. The first semester of senior year was insane. I became a Jessica
Simpson Campus representative and was given the amazing chance
to fly to NYC, meet Jessica Simpson and tour her showrooms. This
was an experience I will never forget.
As a representative, I hosted different fashion events including
campus scavenger hunts, denim bars, trunk shows and
fashion shows. Above are two pictures from a fashion show than my
partner and I planned and hosted at a restaurant and bar in Athens,
Georgia. Not only did we have a great turnout for the show, but we
also provided our guests with food, goody bags and raffle items
during
the show.
8. After I met Jessica Simpson
and her team, I stayed in NYC to
work Fashion Week. Through
PR Consulting I worked the
Edun and Sophie Theallet
shows. It was such a chaotic
time, but I loved every second
of it.
During my last semester at
UGA, I was the PR intern for a
luxe accessories company
named Bené Scarves. I loved
working with the company
because part of the proceeds of
each sale go towards educating
young women in Ghana.
Interning for them allowed me
to take two of my passions,
fashion and empowering
women, and infuse the two.
9. After graduation, I was determined to move to New York
City to pursue fashion PR no matter the cost. I was so
determined that I relocated without a job. Fortunately, I was
accepted into the fall 2016 internship program at LaFORCE, a
fashion, beauty, lifestyle, hospitality and entertainment PR
firm located in Manhattan, as a full-time fashion PR intern.
Because this position was paid, I was treated like a real
employee with real responsibilities. My time there
was extremely enjoyable and educational. Not only did I learn
how to manage multiple responsibilities in the work place,
but I mastered the art of prioritizing and time management.
Although I made a few mistakes at the beginning, I quickly
learned from those errors and used the experiences to help
me become a more efficient intern. Other skills I mastered
mastered during this program were internal
communications, attention to detail, and being diligent when
working on a task. I feel very prepared to rock any entry-
level PR position after this program.
10. Now that I have graduated, I have important decisions to make.
There has been a lot of change in my life in a short amount of time,
and there is much more to come. I choose to embrace the change
and fear that comes from chasing my dreams. Breaking into this
industry is tough and scary, but the idea of not trying is even
scarier.
11. I hope to be considered to join this company because I would
be a great employee. The list above consists of five reasons why
you would benefit from my employment.
12. Thank you for your time , and I hope to hear from
you soon.
