2. Arena
• I would like to work within the Music industry, but more specifically in the realm of concert &
tour management with popular alternative, pop, or country artists in whatever area of the
United States that takes me. I would like to be “stationed” in the US but would love to work on
international level tours
• If possible, I would love to work with at least one of the artists on my “dream team” list which
includes artists like Twenty One Pilots, Harry Styles, 5 Seconds of Summer, Ed Sheeran, and
Dan + Shay
3. Identity
• I went to my first concert when I was only 5 years old, which is a vivid memory is till hold with me today. Because
of that show I went to many more from then on through my senior year of high school and to now. When I was
around 10 years old I started picking up instruments and learning my favorite songs by my favorite artists at the
time. I quickly realized however, that was not the right path for me career wise but more of just a hobby. I went to
the most shows I have ever been to in the 4 year span of high school and fell even more in love with live
performances. They have power to unite people from all over and take you to a different world. I would always
wait out for concerts for the majority of that day and sometimes even 24 hours or longer, depending on the artist.
Spending so much time at venues and getting VIP access to a lot of shows, I quickly became fascinated with the
people who worked “behind the scenes” or the people who worked for this artists. In my junior year of high school
I found Full Sail University and instantly fell in love with the idea of that being my career. Prior to finding the school
I was unaware that I could even get a degree for something like being a Tour Manager, so when I found that out, I
was set and I never looked back.
• I have seemed to dip into almost every creative avenue when it comes to hobbies and skills; from drawing and
dancing, to playing instruments and singing, I get told that I’ve done it all. Today however, when it comes to my
skills and abilities pertaining to my personal brand, my creative skills come in very handy. Particularly my art and
drawing skills. Because of this I have gotten into the habit of drawing and creating logos, to using photoshop and
similar applications that aid in personal branding and marketing
4. Skills
• According to careersinmusic.com, “Skill-wise, they must be able to handle finances, stay on
schedule and handle all kinds of people with varying temperaments.” These are all things that
come fairly easily to me, therefore I feel I could perform the overall tasks well.
• Tour managers also tend to have had other industry positions prior to being a tour manager
that included things like marketing coordinator, production manager, and front-of-house
engineer. All of these types of positions are similar in the need for strong communication
skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, which like I’ve mentioned, I feel
confident in.
5. Profession
• After taking a brand archetypes quiz I found my top four to be the Entertainer, Creator, Girl
Next Door, and the Caregiver. I think that these align well with myself as a professional. I want
to be a tour manager which in a sense means I wasn’t to help put on the shows that entertain
others and I also mentioned that I have always been a creative person. The Girl Next Door
and the Caregiver can be related to my job field, because being a tour manager, I don’t want
to just work for someone or tell people what to do; I want to be their friend first and really get
to know who they are as people instead of famous artists.
6. Credentials
• I have already won multiple awards pertaining to event planning and management through
Collegiate DECA
• In every part-time job I have had previous to going to school, I was always expected to
perform the tasks of those above my position even though I had the lower title, which I feel
goes to show my trustworthiness and responsibility.
7. Promise
• For my future clients or employers, I would promise to keep my personal values, as well as
those of the client or employer, in mind when performing my day-to-day tasks. I will do
everything in my power to ensure that the artist that I tour with are comfortable and agree with
every decision that must be made.
8. Audience
• I need to know current industry professionals or those currently working on tours. I have
already started talking to and getting to know the staff and crew at many shows I have gone to
previously. These people still tend to go to other concerts on their time off or spend it in the
busy cities most of them live in.
9. Networking & Marketing
• I will continue to work on my resume to keep my LinkedIn updated and also continue posting
the content that I already am on social medias and YouTube. I say this because I don’t want
to pretend to be someday else as a brand, if they want to hire me, they’ll want to hire me for
me.
10. Professional
Development
• I would need to improve on skills like time management sand multitasking
• I also think getting a mentor or coach would be beneficial.
