D’Espisito is the Co-President of Marvel Studios.

entertainment and information.

What is your Big Idea?
• While attending Full Sail University I learned in my Business Management course how
analyzed the management principles that help sustain a successful company. I was able
to understand how various types of organizational structures and corporate culture. This
allowed me to gain insight on the importance of creativity and innovation in making
business decisions.
• Also during my time at Full Sail University in my Popular Culture in Media course I
learned the role and importance popular culture plays in society today. I was taught
power of the audience and the effects of new technology and media.
• What I’m offering The Walt Disney Company is my knowledge and expertise in being a
profitable employee. I’m going to go through my portfolio showing the my achievements.
• What I want them to take away from my presentation was my knowledge of the Marvel
Comics and the position that I'm applying for and also that I’m the best and only
candidate for this job.
Flow of Ideas
• Make sure that I have great eye contact.
• Make sure that I communicate my points precisely
• Have knowledge of the company, products, and what type of talent they are looking
• Keeping them entertained with my presentation
2. S.T.A.R. Moment
• Tell an emotive story about how I had to fight with my brother for six months because I
accidentally got his special edition Luke Cage action figure for Christmas one year. It
intrigued me as to why he fought so hard for it. He taunted me because I was a girl and
they shouldn't play with boy toys. He said girls weren't superheroes. I saw this as
another challenge because we always competed against each other. One day I went to a
book store and saw MoonDragon on the cover and I was hooked. This got me interested
in Marvel and all the superheroes.
• Let them know everything I was told I couldn't do, I did. I wasn't supposed to like
superheroes but now I'm a fanatic going after my dream job.
Beginning
• Good afternoon everyone my name is Yolanda Brown and I would like to thank you for
taking the time out of your day to meet with me. I am here to earn the position of
Manager of Casting and Talent Relations. A little about me, I'm an avid Marvel
enthusiast. I’ve grown up with just about all the Marvel superheroes. I graduated from
Full Sail University in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Entertainment Business. During
my time at Full Sail University I interned at the local news station as an assistant to the
casting director. Once I graduated I got a job as Casting Associate at Fox. After three
years I was promoted to Casting Manager for Family Guy. In that role I scouted and hired
new talent and voices for the show. But I never lost sight of what I really wanted to do
which is work with the superheroes of the world.
Middle
• During my time at Full Sail I was able to experience real world situations when it come to
my degree. In my Global Media Management course I was able to address the
complexity and diversity of business practices in the global media marketplace. I learned
how to deal with consumer differences across key international markets, global marketing
strategies, and economic policies and the effect political and cultural environments of the
media. We live in a society that makes media the driving force in their life. During my
3. time at Fox I worked hard and got the network what they needed for the show to
succeed. I cast eleven of the newest cast members on that show. When I started the
viewers were less than 1 million per week. Once I got the job as Casting Manager my
feet hit the ground running. I was able to get my views up to 3.2 million a week. I worked
closely with the cast so that we could make an amazing show. As your Manager of
Casting and Talent Relations I will surpass those numbers and beyond. I’m the person
for this because I am a fighter, an innovator, a profitable resource, and a superhero.
End
• Before I end my presentation I would like to thank everyone for their time. I do have
handouts and I will be handing them out to everyone. The hand out is just a projection of
what I can do to make a promising profit for this company. I would walk around the room
and shake everyones hand and thank them.
