1. ELIZABETH OWEN
Who’s this then?
Well, I’m a 21 year old final year student studying
Communication Design at Robert Gordon University in
Aberdeen, Scotland. I am highly committed to learning
about new areas of the world and using my creative skills
to help tell stories in a visually appealing way. After a
life changing summer in America my work became
very driven towards travel, culture and the care of the
people and nature of our planet. I love exploring and
discovering new places and bringing out the beauty I
discover through artistic media. Meeting and connecting
with people in the creative industry that also share my
ideals is something I love, especially when it means we
can use our passion to help and inspire others. I am
always keen to learn new skills to add to my arsenal and
I would be excited to join a publishing team to share my
passion for books and print media. In the future, I see
myself setting up a publishing house to create unique
photobooks about the art, nature and culture of our
planet.
Read on and discover a little more about myself and my
work.
2. EXPERIENCE
BA Honours in Communication
Design Graduating July 2016
from Robert Gordon University,
Aberdeen.
Throughout my four years I have gained
invaluable skills in software, as well
as communicating and collaborating
with groups and individuals. I’ve learnt
independence and time management
especially throughout my final year and
have become an all round more confident
and driven person.
Co-Director at Develop North
Photography Festival.
Voluntarily working alongside the
photography studio manager, I helped create
the first festival of this kind at Gray’s School
of Art. In this time, I was in charge of all
the Social Media and online publishing. I
also created the signage and leaflets as well
as taking photographs as the festival was
happening for use on social media sites. I
learnt how to put up an xhibition and the
various preparations that are involved in
making sure an event runs smoothly.
