Art in Greece began in the Cycladic and Minoan civilization and it gave birth to Western
classical art. Besides, art in Greece also influences of Eastern Civilization, of Roman art and
its patrons.
Greek art contains five main form which are
architecture, sculpture, painting, pottery and jewelry
making.Particularly, in the areas of sculpture and
architecture are exercised a limitless influence on the
culture of many countries all over the world.
Sculpture means the art of making two or three
dimensional representative or abstract forms,
especially by carving stone or wood or by casting
metal or plaster.

Greece is intelligently seen as
producing great masterpieces in
the classical period.
During the middle Ages, Gothic sculpture represented the anguish and passions of the
Christian faith. Furthermore, the architecture in Greece is produced by the Hellenic people
