Poor environmental sanitation can lead to various skin and gastrointestinal diseases. Common skin diseases include acne, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, skin cancer, and psoriasis. Acne causes pimples when pores become clogged, while eczema makes skin red and itchy. Skin cancer is abnormal cell growth that includes basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. Common gastrointestinal diseases are short bouts of diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, Crohn's disease, acid reflux, gallstones, ulcerative colitis, and hemorrhoids. - A disease which involves the skin. Many people experience a skin
disease at some point their lives, since the skin is the body’s largest organ
and it is rather exposed, greatly increasing its risk of becoming diseased or
damaged.

that connects the skin’s pores to the oil glands become clogged.

back, can come in many forms.
- Whiteheads and blackheads are the most commonly known;
nodular and cystic acne are more severe because they form deep in
the skin and can cause scars.

red and itchy. It may be accompanied by asthma or hay
fever.

to the scalp.

months of their lives in the form of “cradle cap” – a flakey,
dandruff-like condition on the scalp.

called ileum, but it can affect any part of the digestive
tract.

13. Ulcerative Colitis - a long-term condition where the colon and
rectum become inflamed. The colon is the large intestine (bowel)
and the rectum is the end of the bowel where stools are stored.
Small ulcers can develop on the colon's lining, and can bleed and
produce pus.

14. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) - is a common intestinal disorder
that affects the colon (the large intestine). It can cause
cramps, gas, bloating, diarrhea, and constipation. It's
sometimes called a "nervous stomach" or "spastic colon."

15. Hemorrhoids - are swollen veins in your lower rectum. Internal
hemorrhoids are usually painless, but tend to bleed. External
hemorrhoids may cause pain.
