2. Digestive System
• Group of organs that absorb the nutrients used by the body.
• Consists of Esophagus-Stomach-Small intestine- Large
intestine- Liver- Pancreas.
• Breaks food into small pieces and then the body absorbs the
useful parts and the rest that is over is waste.
3. • Some characteristics: large, and a little bit big.
• Looks confused because of the organs and it looks strange.
• The colors of the organs are red, pink and light orange.
4. Organs:
• Esophagus: It’s a long tube that begins in your throat.
• Stomach: It’s a muscular bag that mashes food and mixes the
food with digestive juices.
• Small intestine: It’s a long coiled tube that digests food and
absorbs nutrients your body needs from the digested food.
• Large intestine: It’s a large tube that soaks up water and
minerals and leaves only the waste.
5. • Pancreas: Makes juices that are released into the small
intestine.
• Liver: makes a juice called bile that helps break large blobs of
fat into tiny droplets so that the fats can be broken down
more easily.
