2. Main parts of the urinary system:
• kidneys: two bean-shaped organs that filter waste
from the blood and produce urine
• ureters: two thin tubes that take pee from the kidney
to the bladder
• bladder: a sac that
holds pee until it's time
to go to the bathroom
• urethra: the tube that
carries urine from the
bladder out of the body
when you pee

4. A bit more about the urinary system:
• The urinary system is responsible for ridding the
body of waste products developed from food and
beverage consumption. And, as with most systems in
the human body, a properly functioning urinary
system is vital to living a long and healthy life. You
can promote a healthier urinary system health
without needing prescription medication or medical
intervention.

5. Just a few tips about how to look
after your urinary system?
• Well first of all make sure you drink HEAPS of fluids!
• Second Use the bathroom when the urge arises. Holding it
for too long can weaken the bladder muscles and lead to
accidents. Whenever possible, plan to go to the bathroom
regularly after drinking fluids regularly.
• Eat a healthy diet including fruits, vegetables, protein and
whole grains. Eating a diet high in fat can place stress on
the kidneys when attempting to extract urea during
processing. The processing of foods with high
concentrations of fat can result in the formation of kidney
stones.

6. Animals urinary systems.
• Dogs and cats both have urinary systems and
most mammals do too.
