2. The blog I have chosen to analyse is Holly Etty’s
blog from 2016 A2 Media. I chose this blog as I
believe it was very successful in terms of the way
she presented her blog posts and the variety of
media she used. The first thing that attracted me
to her blog is the simplicity of the layout as it is
very simple and easy to navigate which makes
the blog look more professional but still
manages to look interesting. The first posts you
see on the homepage is an ‘about me’
introductory section which gives the examiner a
brief introduction of the student, there are also
links to the evaluation, the final music video, and
the final ancillary task this makes it easier for the
examiner as it allows the examiner to view it
quickly.
THE BLOG I HAVE CHOSEN
3. This section of the blog is very organised and uses a variety of multimedia such as text post, videos,
prezi, slideshare, etc. I really like the prezi posts as they capture your attention and is a very unique
way of presenting information. I would like to have a research section similar to this as it is very
organised and is very appealing to the eye.
RESEARCH
4. I like this section as it is very detailed and is organised with a variety of different formats which
makes it very interesting to read/watch/view as there are 26 posts so it allows the examiner to see
the whole planning stage and a ‘behind the scenes’ view to the final music video and how it went
from nothing to that. I would like mine to be similar as it is thoroughly detailed and you can see the
process which is very interesting and useful if needed to refer back to.
PLANNING
5. PRODUCTION LOG
This section contains production logs that are mainly weekly or after doing a task and has a
total of 21 production logs overall. It is quite brief and a little boring compared to her other
sections as it is only text compared to the others which had a range of multimedia. When I
do my production logs I would like to include not only text but soundclouds as well to
demonstrate a variety.
6. EVALUATION
This section contains a range of multimedia to present the evaluation as she uses issu to
present her evaluation in a magazine/booklet which is very creative and appealing, she
uses slideshare slideshare, and also creates a video talking about her evaluation. These are
all things that I will hope to include in my blog when I get round to evaluating my music
video.
7. THE ‘FINAL’ PRODUCTS
This section is understandably brief as there doesn't need to be much detail as it is just
showcasing the final products. It contains a blog post with her digipak and a vimeo of her
final music video. I will aim to do something similar to this as it is still very interesting and
effective.
