How did you use Media technologies in the construction, research & planning and evaluation stages?

2. During the research & planning process, and the evaluation
stage – these were some of the programmes/websites I used:

3.  I used youtube to research music videos of different genres and
then went to further analyse Indie music videos. For example, I
looked at Charlie Simpson’s video for ‘Parachute’ and also
looked at my chosen Artist’s previous work that has been posted
on youtube.
 Another time I used youtube was when I posted my music video
and the feedback video. I decided to use youtube because it was
easy to view on a range of devices and you are able to embed it
onto blogger. I also used Youtube when posting my video for my
first year doing A-Level Media, which made it easier for me this
time around as I knew how to work it.

4.  I used blogger as my folder/workbook for both my 1st and 2nd
year at A-Level. I created my A2 blog at the beginning of the
school year and have been posting every bit of research,
planning and evaluation on there.
 Last year was my first time using the website, which was hard
to use to begin with but this time around I enjoyed using much
more as I knew how to embed videos and slide shares, rather
than just copying the link.
 I found blogger really easy to use, as I was able to embed
videos, post images and explain my research.

5.  I used Prezi last year to present two of my evaluation
questions. This year I found it much more fun to create as I
knew how it works from my previous coursework tasks.
 I like working with Prezi the most because you can easily
embed it onto the blog, but also separate your work into
different sections as you decide the order in which you view
each bubble.

6.  I only used twitter in my construction process to get in
contact with the Artist who's song I wanted to use for my
video.

7.  Slideshare is another website in which you can transfer over
your PowerPoint to embed it onto a blog.
 Last year I only used it once when doing an evaluation
question but this year I thought that it would be good to use
for this evaluation also, but for my storyboard. This way my
storyboard is all together in one post that you can easily
access.

8.  Last year was my first time using Sony Vegas Home Studio
11. To begin with I was very unsure on how to work the
software and was still struggling when editing my opening.
However with help from other Media Students and online
tutorials, I was able to create an opening I was happy with.
 This time around I was much more confident with working
with the software. Throughout the rest of the year I practiced
different edits with old footage just to see what else I could
do.
 When it came to editing my music video I found it really easy
to use. I was able to trim clips without a problem and put on
a black and white effect on each clip.

10.  Macromedia Fireworks is where I created my digipak and
advertising poster.
 It was the first time I used it but found it very easy to work. I
was able to cut out certain parts of a picture and overlay
another picture which is shown in that place.
 This is how I created the black and white effect with my Artist
still in colour.
