NATURE OF HUMAN BEING
 Nafs al-ammārah (The Commanding or lower self)
 Nafs-ul-Lawwamah (The Self-Reproaching Self)
 Nafs-ul-mutmainnah(The perfectly contented and
satisfied soul, Wholly at peace)
THE INNOVATION OF HUMAN NATURE IN
ISLAM
According to Islam, the human being is born in the
state of fitrah, the original inherent nature of the
human being. At birth, the baby is totally innocent
and is not responsible for the sin of his parents or any
of his ancestors
Human beings have been created in a naturally good
and pure state, free from sin that is called fitrah.
Fitrah is Allah’s great gift of insight given to man. The
unspoiled fitrah means belief, faith, and inspiration
CHARACTERISTICS OF HUMAN BEING
 Being Scientific
We learn to identify patterns
 Being Playful
Humans and dolphins are the only species
that mate for pleasure

Legislating is fundamental to human nature
Being Gossipy
Humans use gossip to cement relationships
Beauty
Human beings are able to perceive beauty in the
way that one may perceive the perfection of the
universe
OBJECTIVES OF ISLAMIC SHARIAH
 Protection Of Religion
 Protect the religion from everything that might
affect it
 Worships establish faith and protect it in the
believer's hearts
 Allah obligated community and government to
protect the religion
 To protect faith Allah(S.W) forbade believing in
someone else except him

 Protection Of Human Life
 Islam protected humanity by its laws
 Obligates charity and almsgiving, which come under
the law of cooperation and helping one another
 Islamic Law is for humans to achieve happiness in
this world and the hereafter
 Islamic Law was made to protect five things (religion,
self, mind, offspring, and property), which are the
main rights of human in this life
AL-MARUF
"Command the good and
forbid the bad."

 It is an Islamic law which is applied to;
• Known to the community (i.e. the community is
aware of its existence)
• Intelligible (understood by and makes sense) to the
community
• Generally recognized and commonly acknowledged
as a good law
• Accepted by the community as applicable to itself
AL-MUNKIR
 Anything that is banned by Allah Almighty
 It generally refers what is good or what is wrong
such as in the common phrase:
“Commanding the right and forbidding the evil”
CATEGORIES OF AL-MUNKIR
 Haram
Anything that is prohibited in Islam by Allah
Almighty. For example; pigs meat
 Mukruh
Anything that is disliked in Islam by Allah
Almighty. For example; use of broken pots and
worldly talk during Ablution
MANDATORY
Compulsory Obligations OnAMuslim SocietyAnd
Shariah Has Given Certain Clear Directions For
Them
 Wajib
 Refers to an act whose performance is absolutely
demanded by the lawgiver in certain and binding
terms
The binding and certain nature of the demand is
according to the syntax i.e., Al-Quran and Sunnah
There is reward for those who commit it, while
omitting it without legal excuse entails a penalty.
Examples; sacrificing an animal, performing Witr and
EID prayer
FARD
Fard is an Islamic term which represent a
religious duty commanded byALLAH (SWT)
 Categories of Fard ;
Fard-al-Ayn- Is an act that is obligatory for Muslims
individually, each will be rewarded for performing it or
punished for failing to perform it.e.g; Believe in
ALLAH, His Angels, His Prophets, Establishment of 5
daily prayers, Qada and Qadar, fasting, pilgrimage.
Fard-ul-Kifaya- Is an act that is obligatory for the
Muslims community collectively, if it is performed by
some muslims then the obligation has been fulfilled,
otherwise sin will go to whole community. E.g; Praying
over the dead, lifesaving, the existence of Islamic
courts and judges.
MUBAH
 Mubah is a jurisprudential term denoting an action
that has no specific ruling ,so doing or avoiding it is
equal and It has no divine reward and punishment.
Example; eating, drinking
 Mubah is something that there is no objection to
doing it in terms of religion that is a person is free to do
it or not

 Mubah is the most common ruling among the five
rulings (Al-Ahkam al Khamsa) as most of human
deeds are mubah
 It is said in Quran-e-Kareem;
“OH mankind! Eat What of halal and pure in the
earth”

At birth, the baby is totally innocent and is not responsible for the sin of his parents or any of his ancestors Human beings have been created in a naturally good and pure state, free from sin that is called fitrah. Fitrah is Allah’s great gift of insight given to man. The unspoiled fitrah means belief, faith, and inspiration

  • 12. AL-MUNKIR  Anything that is banned by Allah Almighty  It generally refers what is good or what is wrong such as in the common phrase: “Commanding the right and forbidding the evil”
  • 13. CATEGORIES OF AL-MUNKIR  Haram Anything that is prohibited in Islam by Allah Almighty. For example; pigs meat  Mukruh Anything that is disliked in Islam by Allah Almighty. For example; use of broken pots and worldly talk during Ablution

MANDATORY Compulsory Obligations OnAMuslim SocietyAnd Shariah Has Given Certain Clear Directions For Them  Wajib  Refers to an act whose performance is absolutely demanded by the lawgiver in certain and binding terms The binding and certain nature of the demand is according to the syntax i.e., Al-Quran and Sunnah There is reward for those who commit it, while omitting it without legal excuse entails a penalty. Examples; sacrificing an animal, performing Witr and EID prayer

FARD Fard is an Islamic term which represent a religious duty commanded byALLAH (SWT)  Categories of Fard ; Fard-al-Ayn- Is an act that is obligatory for Muslims individually, each will be rewarded for performing it or punished for failing to perform it.e.g; Believe in ALLAH, His Angels, His Prophets, Establishment of 5 daily prayers, Qada and Qadar, fasting, pilgrimage. Fard-ul-Kifaya- Is an act that is obligatory for the Muslims community collectively, if it is performed by some muslims then the obligation has been fulfilled, otherwise sin will go to whole community. E.g; Praying over the dead, lifesaving, the existence of Islamic courts and judges.
  • 16. MUBAH  Mubah is a jurisprudential term denoting an action that has no specific ruling ,so doing or avoiding it is equal and It has no divine reward and punishment. Example; eating, drinking  Mubah is something that there is no objection to doing it in terms of religion that is a person is free to do it or not
  • 17. Continued....  Mubah is the most common ruling among the five rulings (Al-Ahkam al Khamsa) as most of human deeds are mubah  It is said in Quran-e-Kareem; “OH mankind! Eat What of halal and pure in the earth”
