8. What is trustworthiness?
• As per Islamic term, Trustworthiness,
used for ( (امانت , has extensive meanings
i. Honesty in Relations
ii. Honesty in Dealings
iii. Honesty in Business
iv. Honesty in Actions

• The man of trustworthy ()االمین prior to
declaration of his Prophet hood
• Installation of sacred Black Stone (Al-

16. Trustworthiness as the essential
part of Muslims’ faith
• One who is not trustworthy is not a
believer. (Ahmad)
• A believer as one whom the people trust
with their blood and property.
(Al-Tirmidhi)
• The person has no faith who has no
Trust ( Al_Mishkat)
17. He says encouraging all types of
trustworthiness.
“Promise me six things and I will
promise you Paradise:
i. Speak the truth
ii. Keep your promises
iii.Fulfill your trusts
iv.Remain virtuous
v. Don't look at what is unlawful
vi.And avoid what is forbidden.”
(Musnad Imam Ahmad)
18. Characteristics of Untrustworthiness
Holy Prophet Tells four signs of untrustworthy person
I. Whenever speaks, speaks a lie.
II. Whenever given Amanah, proves to be
dishonest
III. Whenever makes a promise, breaks it.
IV. Whenever quarrels, behaves in abusive
language
19. Trustworthy with animals
Once, annoyed at seeing a Companion
trying to deceive his horse, He SAW said:
"Stop deceiving animals. Instead, be
trustworthy with them.”(Al-Bukhari)
20. Disrespect for Untrustworthy Person
A banner will be raised on behalf of every
Untrustworthy person on the day of Judgment and
will be announced:
“This is because of the Untrustworthiness”
(Sahee Ul Muslim)
21. Honesty Leads to Righteousness
The holy Prophet SAW says
“Honesty leads to righteousness and
righteousness leads to Paradise.”

If being honest degrades
and lowers me,
and it would very rarely
do so,
it is more likeable to me
that having dishonesty
raise me,
and it would rarely do
so.

By Allah, I have not said a single lie since I

who commit it.

to our relationships with other people.
• On spiritual level, it brings about the
sincerity to our Lord that is the key to our
salvation.
