Well Head Operation
Operations involved in Well Head X-Mas tree valve, operations with Baker Panel
facilities, Well Testing, Monitoring through Test Separators. Well versed in Operations of
Adjustable and Variable Choke and Choke Housing, Monitoring Gas and Oil flow,
monitoring all the parameters of the Test Separators and Platform, Start-up and Shut-
down procedures of the Well in the Emergency Circumstances, Operations involved in the
Artificial Lift such a Gas Lift and Water Injection Systems. Knowing all the safety
Procedures and Precautions carried out in the Offshore Platform on ESD, FSD and SDV
systems.
Well Testing
Flowing the Well through various sizes of Chocks through Three Stage Test Separator,

Gas Sweetening Unit
Methyl Diethanol Amine (MDEA) absorbs the H2S from sour gas. Gas Sweetening
Unit (GSU) consists of two sections. Absorption section and amine Regeneration section.
Operation and Control of the Absorber, Knockout Drum, and Heat Exchangers – maintain
the MDEA Temp. Control the Level of Rich Amine Flash Drum, Rich/Lean Amine
Exchanger, Regenerator, and Control the Lean Amine Flash Drum, Operation of Vapour
compressors and Reflex Pumps, Oxidizer and Absorber, Adding Catalytic Reagents ARI
310, Liquid Sulphur is transferred to Sulphur Storage Tank by Transfer Pumps at Sulphur
Recovery Unit. Familiar with start up and shutdown of GSU.
Re- Boiler
Maintains the Reboiler Temperature, Glycol Level, Fuel Gas and Poilet Gas supply,
Still Column Temperature Setting, Three Way Valve Function. Log Sheet for Glycol

Instrument Gas Receiver
All LCV, PCV, TCV, FCV, DCV Solenoid Valve, PI Control Valves and all
Instrumentation Valves are operating in this dry Gas. Maintain the Fuel gas, Poilet Gas,
Blanket Gas, Stripping Gas Pressure, Operation of Instrument Gas Receiver and Air
Dryers, Ground Flair system.
Gas Compressor Unit
Inject High Pressure Dehydrated Gas into Well Reservoir, Operation and Maintenance
of Multistage Compressors, Scrubbers, Inter Coolers, After Coolers, Separated Start-up
and Shutdown Operations of Compressors at Gas Injection Unit. The Plant Receiving

pumps, cooler and heat exchangers, fractionation system.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•1 Make regular routine checks of all Equipment and Units to ensure that they are functioning
correctly in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure.
•2 Report at Equipment and Instrument defects and leaks immediately to my executive
engineer and take possible corrective action.
•3 Check and Record in the Plant Log Sheet each and every hour a variety of readings such as
Oil and Gas Flow, Temperature and Pressure and Record unusual occurrences after
reporting them to my executive engineer.
•4 Start, Check and Stop Pumps locally according to instructions or in case of emergency.
•5 Open or Close the Injection Water Distribution Manifold and Gas Lift Manifold on the
Satellites, which receive Treated Water from the Process Platform and distribute it to the
relevant Well Head Platform under the guidance of the executive engineer.
•6 Assist in carrying out the Routine Weekly Run Tests of Equipments like Emergency Diesel
Generator diesel and Electrical Fire Pumps. Etc.,
•7 Participate under instructions, In Launching Pigs into Pipelines, Prepare Pig Receiver
Stations and remove the Pig and check it for damage under the guidance of the executive
engineer.
•8 Unload Chemicals into Tanks for Injections, Start and adjust the Flow Rate of Chemical
Injection Pumps as required.
•9 Check the Water / Oil interface level in Sump Tanks and operate their pumps locally when
they required.
•10 Collect Oil, Gas, and Water Samples and measure the Water Cut in Oil, Salt Concentration
in the Produced Water and pass the samples to the Laboratory for Analysis.
•11 Initiate and lead Fire Fighting or other emergency actions in my area until taken over by a
higher authority.
•12 Testing of Expansion Joint. SSSV under the supervision of senior engineer.
•13 To assist the production engineer in Well Completion, Production Testing
(Injection of Acid and Nitrogen)
•14 Checking the Leakage of Gas like Hydrogen sulphide, Carbon Dioxide.
