Mr. Kroft has thirty-four years of management experience in marketing & sales, advertising, technical
support, C&I customer relations, customer satisfaction reporting, and a range of administrative functions.
He currently provides program management services in New York on a contract basis to Iberdrola USA’s
NYSEG and RG&E subsidiaries including managing the Multifamily Energy Efficiency, Refrigerator
and Freezer Recycling, and Energy Saver programs.
While employed by NYSEG/RG&E, Mr. Kroft held various positions including Manager – Market
Development, and Manager – Key Account Sales. Throughout his career he has demonstrated leadership
in program development and implementation, introduction of new products and services, major account
development and retention, and new gas franchise development. Mr. Kroft has significant public
outreach experience including coordinating and hosting semi-annual gas transportation customer
meetings at five sites throughout the state for several years, as MC of a 500 attendee conference,
participating in national and international trade shows, in energy efficiency program launch events, and
more. As part of his responsibilities in Marketing & Sales at NYSEG he managed the Advertising
Department and the playbook process which was expanded to include monthly discussion among all
stakeholders. He was directly responsible for development of many outreach materials including
brochures, fact sheets, talking points, news releases, and other communications including at times some
difficult and contentious issues. The current role managing successful energy efficiency programs
employs his skills and experience at research, communications and outreach planning and
implementation.

CURRENT POSITION
Since 2010, Mr. Kroft has worked on a number of energy efficiency programs for residential and
commercial & industrial customers, including the NYSEG/RG&E Multifamily, Refrigerator Recycling,
Energy Saver, and Small Business Direct Install programs. He has participated in all program phases
included initial conception, public service commission petition development, economic analysis, bid
process, launch, reporting, and ongoing management.

2. • Manages the Multifamily lighting and domestic hot water direct installation program. Is
responsible for vendor management, marketing, results reporting, program documentation.
The program has significantly exceeded its goals, and has been under budget.
• Manages the Refrigerator and Freezer Recycling program. Lead all program phases
including bid process, economic analysis, public service commission documentation, bid
process, reporting, and ongoing management. The program has exceeded all goals, under
budget.
• Managed the Energy Saver program. Lead all program phases including public service
petition filing, bid process, economic analysis, and pre-launch planning.
• Lead the Small Business Direct Install program from public service approval stage through
pre-launch.

• During a 16 year career from 1991 to 2007 with New York State Electric & Gas, held
positions of increasing responsibility in marketing/customer service, retiring as Manager of
Market Development. Managed groups at NYSEG and Rochester Gas & Electric (RG&E)
responsible for marketing, technical support, advertising, commercial & industrial customer
relations & sales, customer satisfaction measurement, and other related functions.
GAF/Ozalid
• Employed by copier manufacturer GAF/Ozalid from 1976 to 1991 with managerial and
individual contributor roles in marketing, sales & service administration, and product
distribution. As Manager of Marketing Services, directed market development, product
management, dealer operations, fleet car management, training, pricing, advertising, & public
relations functions.
