Two billion people suffer from obesity (and may develop illnesses like diabetes from too much and unhealthy food) whereas 800 million other people live at the edge of starvation on our Planet. At the same time we waste 1/3 of the consumable food in the supply chain and at home. Packaging is playing different roles here: both 'good' and 'bad'. In this workshop around 80 packaging managers analysed the current situation and did their best to start working on ways how better packaging may fight food waste in the future. Food for thought!
