Game Design
1. My idea for a game would be a game
where you can learn to play the keyboard
using a virtual keyboard simulator, and
also create your own songs and record
them. It would be called KeyboardZap,
and you could also play existing songs on
it on varying levels of difficulty, to
improve your skill.
2. KeyboardZAP, the new
awesome game for YOU.
Available in all good game
shops, only £79.99!
Are YOU good enough?
3. To construct my poster, I started off with a basic image of what the
product is based on, which is a keyboard. I then decided that to be
distinguishable from other products on the market, it needed to
have the name clearly written on it so you could tell at a glance
what it was a poster for. To do this, I got some basic writing and
made it bright and colourful so that it stands out easily against the
product. After I had done this, I decided the poster needed another
element so that it didn’t look blank, so I chose some fire, because it
is bright and stands out as well as being quite popular with teenage
products.
I decided on the writing below it because it emphasised the need to
have the product, and also saying that it is only available at good
game shops suggests it is of good quality and that any shop that
sells games should sell it.
The slogan for the product has a similar idea, that the game will
make you somehow better at life, and that also it makes you want
to prove yourself worth because it is a rhetorical question.
