2. Why I chose to do this project My father’s company website hadn’t been updated in over five years and had un-clickable links, old customer information, not to mention a very outdated site design I wanted to use the skills we learned in class to apply them to updating the site, such as hyperlinking to their distributor websites and displaying links to email and photos of their products. I also wanted him to have a company site comparable to those of his distributors.
3. Site Design The site was designed using their domain host charter communications Charter had a web template site to make the website in where I was able to update their site information It was generally easy to navigate and set everything up, I used mostly information that was present on their last site with a few extras added in
5. Finished Website Project The finished website project included a simple layout that would be easy to navigate with clickable site layout tabs along the top of the page The home page includes company information with links to company websites that they represent Includes visual of some of the products they sell and represent
7. Products Page The products page includes side tabs with pictures and information on the products they represent and sell It also shows clickable hyperlinks which they did not have before Links to their email and distributors homepages make the site easy to navigate and get in contact with them
8. Extras I used the website fotoflexer to make extra a strip of photos to use on the homepage Getting the sitebuilder and being able to log in was tricky, potential problems was that the photos and tabs were not showing up when opening the website in a browser. Tweeking and fixing it in near future should help this and get it working correctly.
