Can be removed through surgery
Don’t invade other tissues

Is a form of nuclear division, in which the daughter
nuclei contains half the number of chromosomes
of the parents.
Daughter cells are NOT identical
Occurs in gametes
7. FUNCTIONS OF MEIOSIS:
Functions in multicellular organisms
Allows sexual reproduction without
increasing the number of chromosomes
in the offspring
Allows new combination of genes –
variation.
