2. Sports organization refers to any group of people, community, or school
that sponsors, organizes, schedules, or conducts a competetive game in which
one or more professional athletes participate. In schools, students mostly
participate due to teacher’s motivation. The usual objective of school
tournaments is to encourage the majority to play in games or sports and let the
rest perform as cheer leaders and dancers.
A sports governing body, on the other hand, is a sports organization that
has a regulation or sanctioning function. It includes implementing disciplinary
actions for rules imfrastruction and deciding on rule changesin the sport they
govern.
3. Drills for Sport
A drill is a mean of teaching and
training through repeated exercise oe
repetition of activity. Fielding a series of
ground balls, hitting, catching, running
the bases, or doing any other activity
rhat is repeadted can be called a drill.
Drill are done to prepare for each game.
4. Organizing Tournament
A tournament is a series of contests by a number of competitors,
who compete for an overall price. Organizing a tournaments considers
many variables like costs, set-up, marketing and prizes.
A system for elimination must be decided according to different
games and/or sports that will be held during the tournament. The
different types of tournament are single elimination, double
elimination, and round robin.
8. Cheerdance
Cheerdancing also referred to as
cheerleading , is a physical activity
using organize routines for the purpose
of motivating sports teams,
entertaining an audience, or joining in
the opening as a competition.
9. Street Dance
Street dance is a dance style,
regardless of country or origin, which was
evolved from the streets and seen in open
spaces such as streets, block parties, parks,
school yards, and raves. This type of dance
found outside dance studios.
10. Other Forms of Dances
1. Hiphop – This form of dance gave rise to various dancing styles such as uprock,
breaking, locking, roboting, boogaloo and popping. As compared to other forms
of dance, hiphop dance follows freestyle form.
2. Contemporary dance - another form of dance emerged in early part of the 20th
century. Contemporary dancers broke away from strict classical ballet and lyrical
dances form, and explored the revolutionary unconventional movements that ere
gathered from all dance styles of the world.
11. 3. Lyrical Dance – is a style of dance which combines ballet, jazz, and
contemporary dance into. In performing this dance, choreographer chooses a
certain kind of music which has lyrics in order to create movements that will
express the strong emotions he or she felt from the lyrics of the chosen song.
4. Choreography – The term choreography came from the Greek words khoreia,
meaning dance and graphia meaning notation or writing. Hence it simply
means- “dance-writing”.
Choreography is the art of designing dances. The basic elements of
choreography are shapes, actions,/movements, time, tempo, space, formation,
focus, direction, and level.
