-Supervises 25-30 part time merchandisers and over 170 magazines, book and DVD’S retailers
located throughout Maryland. Full-cycle recruiting: hired, trained, and retained merchandisers to
provide quality service to each retailer. Handled retailer’s requests for magazine, book and
DVD’S sales and service. Completed weekly reports for each retailer of when and how long they
were serviced.
• Relationship Building- Maintains excellent communication with all retailers and
merchandisers.
• Change Management- Established district to be merchandiser friendly after changeover from
Anderson News to Source Interlink.
• Quality Control- Focused on each retailer to provide excellent service on a timely basis.
Warehouse Supervisor (December 2004- January 2007)
-Promoted to oversee 10 routes Driver’s and their daily interactions with retailers within a 100
mile radius of Frederick, MD. Scheduled each route according to route driver’s availability.
Maintained all DOT certification all truck’s and route drivers. Serviced each retailer with quality
and time based books, magazines, and DVD’S. Increased sales percentage of retailers by
promoting and merchandising home entertainment.
• Invoice Management- Created a standardized filing system to manage incoming and outgoing
invoices.
• Safety Control- Followed all rules and regulations to meet OSHA requirements.
• Routine Organization- Kept warehouse organized at all times for drivers to proceed and return
from their daily routes.
• Staff Development- Trained and mentored route drivers to be successful merchandisers at point
of sale for books, magazines, and DVD’S.
Route Salesman/Driver (April 2004- December 2004)
- Became a DOT licensed driver to merchandise books, magazines, and DVD’S at nationally
known food and drug stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, Giant Food, Safeway, CVS, Walgreens
and others. Focused on point of sale, displaying product, and the receiving of the maximum
amount of sales.
• Hands on Merchandising- Followed all plan-o-grams and sets to fully receive sales commission
on product sold.
