15. SCHOOL READINESS PROGRAMME
KVS believes that children should be transitioned into school settings by giving them the
opportunity to experience a school atmosphere prior to attending a school setting. At the
same time, the programme further enhances and extends the children's school readiness in
the areas of academic, social, emotional and physical skills with a special focus on
character development. They will experience a range of motor planning and exercise
activities to facilitate sensory integration and physical development. Also making the new-
comers familiarize with school environment, school language etc. The child who leaves the
home and enters the school should find a comfortable new environment, to fill the gap
between home and school .The teacher here becomes a parent to comfort the child.
