2. National Talent Search
Examination (NTSE)
• The National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) is a National
Level scholarship program in India to identify and nurture
talented students.
• it is organized by NCERT and widely regarded as the most
prestigious examination at high school level in India.
• NTSE is conducted in two stages : State level and National level.
• State level exam is a sort of elimination round for the National
final exam.

• Rs. 1250 per month in std XI and XII
• Rs. 2000/- per month for undergraduate & post graduate
levels
• As per UGC rules for Ph.D. students.
• Seats : As per state quota of Maharashtra after level-1
774 as per yr. 2019-20
• Total 2000 scholarships from all over India after level-2

•Registration starts in the month of July’21 through
school.

• Complete one reading of SST till May end/mid June.
• Start solving Mental exercises everyday.
• Revise Maths and science : Start solving exercises from NTSE (State
and National level) books
• 2nd reading of SST should complete till July end.
• From 15th August start taking full length test.(without time
constrain)
• From 15th September start taking full length test (Time bound)
• Don’t worry about second level. After boards, you will be already
prepared for second level.
