3. My central mage is taken in an outdoor setting, whereas the inside page images are taken indoors as I wanted a variety between the two. In ‘Bliss’, it is a photoshoot which is consistent, however I decided to take my original images on separate days showing a gradual process. I also created a questionnaire to find out if my target audience were being reached, and the feedback showed that the girls aged 13-15 were particularly interested in this set genre. It’s important that the front cover distinguishes the representation and genre. The use of bar code, date and price is essential I think, my magazine shows this. As well as the front cover, the contents page has a letter from the editor to make it more direct to the reader and friendly, I decided to use this as I want the reader to know this is not formal, but a magazine they should enjoy reading. The page numbers I have used are made bigger so they stand out and seem obvious, in other magazines they tend to be small but I changed this convention as it gives the magazine more of a brand identity. My double page spread does use forms and conventions of other magazines as it typically has a large mast hed across both pages.
4. The colour of my background is bright and contrasts with the mast head which is what my magazine has in common with teen pop magazines. Also, there are a selection of images which show that it’s a photoshoot and similarly to ‘Bliss’, it includes less posed images to show the celebrity models from a different perspective. Another similarity is the use of the website and page numbers at the bottom of the page which I thought is good and shows consistency. The images are mid shot, and vary between being edited and those left natural which is popular within this style of magazine.
