The document discusses the development of a logo for a production company called MAD Productions. 1. I know that I want me production company name to be ‘MAD Productions’ however, I
still need to create a full logo so…I took the aspects of my company name to see if
there were any images that could represent it e.g. MAD. I Googled ‘crazy’ and a picture
of the famous DC world villain ‘The Joker’ appeared which then got me thinking about
jesters and how they can be portrayed in sinister ways as though insane or mad.
I Googled ‘Jester’ and found this image:
It instantly catch my eye of looking rather evil which
perfectly connotes at the genre of the short film this
production company have created. I placed the image
in Photoshop CS6 to removed the white background
and create a transparent one so that comes much
easier when it comes to placing it onto my
Ancillary tasks.
While doing this I decided that I would have the jester position to the left with the
text/name ‘MAD Productions’ next to it in the same colour the jester shall be which is
easily changed for either of my ancillaries.

5. For design one I used the same font used for Ouija
Boards, Captain Howdy. I used this phone because I
wondered if it would help to connote any sense of the
storyline but also as it was heavily associated with the
horror genre already it could help to create a sinister
and horror represented through the production
company name, almost like a reputation.
For design two I used the Friday13th font which was
indeed used for the Friday 13th horror film. I used
this because I had already tested with my company
named before I thought that it looked extremely
good but also helps with that rough texture that the
image also possesses.
For design three I used the font called, Another
Danger. I have used this during drafts and gotten a
lot of positive audience feedback towards it. It’s
probably the most textured and loose one of the
three fonts.
