Professional Experience
1. Product Engineer
Pyroelectric Infrared Sensor Unit Department (April 2012 ~ August 2013)
Ultrasonic Transducer Department (June 2011 ~ March 2012)
NiCera Philippines Inc. (Japanese-based company)
Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City, Philippines
Key Responsibilities:
Setting product and process design standards in the manufacturing line. Product/Production line monitoring. Analysis and
problem solving of all line quality and non-quality related issues. Material, chemical and product evaluation. Ensures
effective communication with the concerned personnel and/or department for the implementation of the recommended
improvements. Assembly machine programming. Machine setup, troubleshooting, correlating and maintenance. Improving
productivity and production management.
Selected Projects and Accomplishments
• Spearheads a cost cutting project in the manufacturing line in utilizing scrapped items with more than 1,000,000
pieces each of Can Bond Filter products, Pyroelectic Infrared Sensor products and Pyroelectric Infrared Sensor Unit
products that will save more than Php 50 millions worth of cost. This includes establishment of Proximity Test as a
new process for ensure quality.
• Established an inter-department system flow in continuously utilizing all appearance non-conformities of Pyroelectric
Sensor products for external customers to be used for the internal production of Pyroelectric Sensor Unit products.
Hence, improved the yield rate from 90% to 99% in final appearance inspection process.
• Established a Glue Addition process in Ultrasonic Transducer Sensor products in utilizing low Case-PZT frequency
and low impedance values which causes a low reflective voltage reading in its assembled state. Hence, improved
the yield rate from 80% to 96% of frequency sorting process.
• Supported the mother company in Japan in establishing of more than 50 new process procedures and designs for
2012 ~ 2013 in more than 10 new products of the sub-company in the Philippines.
2. • Corrected and prevented more than 50 minor and major product quality issues using why-why analysis as a tool for
identifying the root cause generation and outflow causes.
• Designed an experiment regarding analysis of low reflective voltage and high decay time of a Ultrasonic Transducer
Sensor by setting the proper adjustment of the silicone position and amount, hence, improved the yield rate from
80% to 92% in testing processes.
• Evaluated 3 material issues and gave feedback to the material supplier with a well-justified report and requested the
supplier to correct and prevent such occurrences.
• Troubleshoot the broken ECU of the Reflective and Sensitivity Decay Time inspection box which causes a low
performance in product output. Repaired the coil with the available resources to prevent cost on buying new sets of
ECU.
• Correlated inspection machines more than 5 Reflective and Sensitivity Decay Time inspection box in Ultrasonic
Transducer Sensor production and 2 PSUP Testing Machines to be used for other models to maximize machine
output.
• Programmed an IAI machine for Silicone Application in Ultrasonic Transducer Sensor production and programmed
more than 7 testing machines in Pyroelectric Infrared Sensor production.
