1. 1.
Documentary opens with a long shot of
the main school gate at Chatham, with or
without students entering.
There will be an accompanying narrative
throughout the scene explaining the
schools history.
The scene consists of a series of shots of
all angles and distance, with close ups
being used on important school elements
such as the crest.
2.
The interviews of the two students (myself
and Callum) then fade in from black. Within
these two interviews there wont be any
interaction from anyone else, the students will
just talk using a pre-determined script.
Shots will mainly be mid shots, but will
include a facial close up and also will contain
titles explaining who they are.
3.
The scene then progresses to the Clarendon
school site again with or without student
interaction.
The narrative continues throughout,
uninterrupted by the changing shots as we want
to have a linear narrative so as not to be
inconvenient by constant stopping and starting.
Again, this scene will consist of a range of shots
from extreme long shots to close ups of
important factors of the school.
4.
5.
Scene will then cut back to the interviews of
the students and again fade from black.
Within these two interviews there are no
changes in terms of content or shots. As
before shots will mainly be mid shots, but
will include a facial close up and also will
contain titles explaining who they are.
The scene then swaps to long and mid shots
of the sixth form centre, followed up with
shots of the inside of the common room,
which will be done when it is almost empty
because if its too crowded the footage will not
be as good.
The accompanying narrative will talk about
the more recent changes that have been
made to the sixth form as a whole.

9.
The final scene opens from black, and consists
of random clippings of the three sites with the
final section of narrative. The scene finishes
with a freeze-frame and a fade in text of:
‘Chatham House, A students perspective’.
Credits roll.
Saying thank you to the parties involved and to
Chatham House for letting us film and do a piece
on them.
The final interview is of a teacher at the
school Mr Haywood. Again, this interview
is unscripted and we want him to talk
about his experiences and what he has
enjoyed about working here.
After scene is finished it fades to black.
6.
The next interview is of the head of sixth form
Mr Moody, this interview is completely
unscripted as we want Mr Moody to talk about
his time as the head of sixth form and his
experiences at the school with students.
