introduction

For our task this week, we will be making several film plot ideas, evaluating
them, choosing the one we like the most, and developing the idea for a film
opening sequence
Idea 1
Produced by AS film production company 4
Because of the novel coronavirus, the protagonist
stays at home every day and cannot go out,
causing him to become unhappy, sensitive, and
mature. Three years later, the epidemic is over and
life continues as before, but you can't go back to
the previous state. After the online class is over,
you change the learning environment and make
new friends, but none of the friends can make the
protagonist feel that he is valued, and none of them
can make the protagonist feel sincere and treated
sincerely. By chance, the protagonist met his best
friend in life, but the sudden separation made him
extremely sad. The days went on as usual, but
there was always one less person next to me.
Idea 2
(Disaster) (Science Fiction)
In 2055, all sea areas have been persecuted due to the
discharge of nuclear wastewater. Many animals have been
exposed to nuclear contamination, causing mutations.
People were forced to live underground. The mutated
animals are very smart and often disguise themselves as
humans to blend in. So a new job was born, which was to
capture monsters that mixed with humans and kill them.
The task is difficult and they have an extraordinary mission.
Advantages-
>location research already done (home
and school)
>simple for filming
Disadvantages-
>Too many props
Advantages-
>Interesting subject matter
Disadvantages-
>High production cost
>Location research
Idea 3
Produced by AS film production company 5
(Campus) (Workplace) (Drama)
A recent Chinese college student who had received a
Chinese-style education from childhood to adulthood
found a job at an international school in another
country just after graduation. As soon as he arrived at
school, he was assigned to a naughty class. His
classmates were skeptical and disdainful of him,
thinking that he was just an Asian who had just
graduated and was not qualified enough. He is
committed to Chinese-style education and believes
that strict Chinese-style education is very effective and
implements it. Western students were very dissatisfied
and wanted a different teacher. This is a collision
between teachers and classmates, as well as a collision
between Chinese education and Western education.
Idea 4
(animation)
The protagonist accidentally finds a mirror that can
travel through time and space, which can take him to
the past and future, so he tries to travel to five years
old (the happiest time), nine years old (interest
capture), and twelve years old (the time to change the
trajectory of his life). . But every time he travels
through time, his life will be consumed. The
protagonist didn't know it at first, but after his first
time travel, white hair grew on his temples. He
realized this and began to travel through time and
space cautiously in an attempt to change his life.
Advantages-
>location research(we can easily
to film the movie in the school)
>less cost
disadvantages-
>too cliche
Advantages-
>interesting plot
>no filming so less people used
>good for limited budget
Disadvantages-
>hard to make
>time consuming
Ideas
5
(love) (pure love)
The heroine is a teenage girl with a lively, cheerful
and somewhat funny personality. Very popular on
this campus. Since she is a veteran student of this
school, she knows everyone. The male protagonist is
a very smart and talented young man. Different from
the female protagonist, he is introverted, calm and
very strict with himself. In the new semester, he
transferred to a new school. He acted very nervous,
but the heroine seemed to be "going home". The
male protagonist sat quietly in the last row of the
classroom, while other students were talking and
laughing. The heroine was late and suddenly entered
the classroom, interrupting the teacher's speech and
breaking the atmosphere among the students. Since
all other seats were full, I sat next to the male
protagonist. After a simple self-introduction, they
started their future campus life.
6
go home
The protagonist is a middle-aged man who
has been working hard overseas. Recently,
he returned to his home country. No one
knew why or what he was doing. After
returning to China, many things made him
feel uncomfortable.
Produced by AS film production company 6
Advantages-
>easy to film
Disadvantages-
>too cliche
Advantages-
>interesting ideas
>less actors that we need for
Disadvantages-
>cost we need a lot of money for
travelling
Idea
7
suspense
On the day of the New Year, all the
lights were on and the fireworks
continued. The male protagonist
and his colleagues watched the
Spring Festival Gala in the police
station and drank and drank. On the
other side, a body was found in the
suburbs.
8
Suspense, science fiction
The protagonist is a man, and he is a very
insignificant person in real life (friends gather in
the corner). He just wants to stay at home and
sleep. He likes to dream because in his dreams
he is a popular person, but he dreams for a long
time. If it can't tell whether it's reality or a
dream, he will use a top to tell whether it's a
dream or reality (in the end, the top keeps
spinning)
Produced by AS film production company 7
Advantages-
>interesting plots/story
Disadvantages-
>difficult to make
>cost of props
>location research(it’s
difficult to find a place that
you can rent and film )
Advantages-
>interesting plots
>less props
Disadvantages-
>too many people
>difficult to film(because there’s some special
effects)
Movies that inspired me

The final idea for filming
How do I get the idea:
Frist of all, I made 8 ideas ,I listed the advantages and
disadvantages for each idea ,at the end , I picked the best.
Produced by AS film production company 9
My idea is :
• Because of the new coronavirus, Cora stays at home every day and cannot go out. The repetitive life
makes her unhappy, sensitive, and mature. Three years from now, the epidemic will be over and life
will go on, but Cora will not be able to go back to the way she was before. After the online class, you
changed your learning environment and made new friends. However, no friend can make Cora feel
valued, and no friend can make Cora feel sincerely treated. By chance, Cora met him.
evaluation
• I chose this idea because I like the setting and concept very much. The COVID-19 pandemic is a
major event that has affected many people and has lasted for three years. I believe this story
setting is very relatable to people, because many people have been stuck at home like this for a
long time.
• Let’s talk about the benefits of shooting. There are rarely only two scenes of this idea, and they
are very easy to shoot. The first one is at home, and the second one is at school, both places that
are easy to photograph.
• Second, we don’t need too many actors, just a few protagonists.
• Third, the cost of this idea is relatively low compared to other ideas, and there aren’t a lot of
costume requirements.
• But there are still some potential problems, for example we need a lot of props to complete the
shoot, which means we still need a small amount of money even though this is the cheapest
option.
• Also, when filming in schools, we must be careful not to photograph students without permission.
• There will be some minor technical issues to overcome in editing.

  • 10. evaluation • I chose this idea because I like the setting and concept very much. The COVID-19 pandemic is a major event that has affected many people and has lasted for three years. I believe this story setting is very relatable to people, because many people have been stuck at home like this for a long time. • Let’s talk about the benefits of shooting. There are rarely only two scenes of this idea, and they are very easy to shoot. The first one is at home, and the second one is at school, both places that are easy to photograph. • Second, we don’t need too many actors, just a few protagonists. • Third, the cost of this idea is relatively low compared to other ideas, and there aren’t a lot of costume requirements. • But there are still some potential problems, for example we need a lot of props to complete the shoot, which means we still need a small amount of money even though this is the cheapest option. • Also, when filming in schools, we must be careful not to photograph students without permission. • There will be some minor technical issues to overcome in editing.
