STRENGTHS – What are your strengths in completing this project? Why is your idea a
good one?
My strengths are that I’m a naturally creative person on my own, I have an eye and ear
for detail as I can pick out certain things and moments that I like and little things, that
other people may not be able to click on with which I can. My idea is good as I have an
already co-existing passion for music epically for one genre in partially heavy metal which
is by far my favorite genre of music to talk about and delve into. My product shallbe
successful as online article websites are the future for pop culture maginizines. As
everything is moving into a detail envoirment, people want a strong, reliable website to
find out about their surrounding interests. Also connection to a google domain allows my
product to have the best chance of popularity as search engines also show up
recommendations to similar websites to them. This makes my product have a far better
chance at economic success and sustinilibilty in long future. (Since my business is self-ran
by one person.) People will want my product as fans of this particaully genre love to read
up apon the latest albums and realizes of upcoming metal bands.
WEAKNESSES – What are your weaknesses in relation to this project? What do you still
need to learn in order to complete it?
I needed a certain skill in Photoshop because I wanted to customize my website to make
it much more professional is look and feel. Also I did run into some saving issues where
certain things weren’t really saving as their truly should but I managed to figure that out
easily.
Also weakness to my product is that not every one of the modern age use technological
means to extract and read their information. Since my product is strictly based to online, I
may be limiting some of my overall audience capacity as possible ‘older’ people (from a
slightly less) technical background, may not want to read articles online as they might
prefer to read a physical copy instead. This may be bad for my product as it may not get
all the attention and popularity that I think it deserves. Heavy Metal music is largely
focused on strong community and family, so separating my target audience up may be a
bad idea and a huge flaw in my marketing.
2. OPPORTINITIES – When might you learn new skills to aid the completion of your project?
Are there opportunities to get other people involved/collaborate?
I may offer additional people in to write about their favorite genre of music and album in
additional updates of my wix.com website to add variety and encourage other people
from different genres of music to come and check out my material. This will be good for
my product as it will show some of my more musical diversity. People (consumers) usually
like lots of diversity, which will benefit my product as now, my product is no longer
pigeon-holed into one type of genre reviewing. Also, having other people feature on my
product may help create better versilitility, as people will get different writing styles on
my blog posts. Which will help switch things up a bit and make my product still relevant
and interesting.
THREATS – What might stop you from completing your project?
Corona Virus! Working from home can be challenge as I don’t have quite the equipment
that I’m used to having in college, however I do hope that I will be able to finish time
before the end of the year.
