This document discusses finding meaning and purpose in life. It begins by asking three key questions: 1) Where did we come from? 2) Why are we here? 3) Where are we going? It argues that evolution cannot explain the origin of life and that humans have characteristics vastly different than animals. It says many pursue wealth, pleasure or are unsure of what comes after death, but the Bible provides answers to life's most important questions and reveals we were created by God to serve and be a blessing to others. It claims we should understand our origin and purpose in order to live the perfect life.

4. Where did we come from? Why
do international tensions threaten
to wipe out civilization? Why is
crime increasing? Why are moral
sagging? Is God indifferent to all
this? Is He doing anything to help
us solve our problems?
5. To Solve this Problem...

part.
The Origin of Life: Created with a purpose…

me, and the breath of the

11. Everyone wonders about the
meaning and purpose of life.
What is our origin: evolution or
creation? Should we seek
material wealth, pleasure, and
education, or are we here to
serve and honor God? Will we
be judged for our lives and face
eternal destinies in heaven or
hell? Please consider the
answers that can be found only
in the Bible.
11
12. ⋆ What is the meaning of life? Without doubt, this is one of the
most challenging, and yet one of the most fundamental,
questions the mind can consider.
⋆ People throughout history have pondered the purpose of life.
Philosophers spin theories. Poets write songs. Young people
drop out of society to "find out what it's all about." Older people
may remain within the "establishment," but they still wonder.
⋆ Obviously life is real. No one can deny that the world exists and
people exist. You live, eat, sleep, breathe, and move. But do
you understand why you exist?
⋆ Please consider with me the challenging question of life. What is
it really all about? To answer this question, we will look at three
specific questions. 12
13. In order for you to live the most perfect life on
earth you need to find out the reasons why you
were here, and then live your life accordingly.
13
14. ⋆ Question #1: Where Did
You Come From?
⋆ Question #2: Why Are
You Here?
⋆ Question #3: Where Are
You Going?
14
15. Question #1: Where Did
You Come From?
How do you explain the
origin of the human race?
Since we are alive, it is
natural to wonder where we
came from. One reason
many people are confused
about the meaning of life is
that they do not understand
the origin of life. To
know why we are here, we
must know where we came
from.
15
16. Where did the first living thing come from?
What caused life to begin where
there had never been life before?
Science has repeatedly
demonstrated that life comes only
from life. This is a law of science
called the "Law of Biogenesis." The
opposite of this law would be
spontaneous generation - life
beginning spontaneously from non-
living matter. But science has
repeatedly proved this cannot
happen.
16
17. So every living thing must come from a
previous living thing. You received life
from your parents, who in turn received it
from their parents, etc. The same is true
for all living things.
But evolution requires that, when you go
back far enough, non-living matter
somehow came to life by chance where
there was no life before. Evolution
requires spontaneous generation in
complete violation of scientific evidence.
So evolution cannot explain even the
origin of the very first form of life.
17
18. Why is man so unique from animals?
If man evolved from animals
and is really an animal but just
slightly more complex, why do
we have characteristics so
vastly different from animals?
Why do people
appreciate beauty in art, music,
and poetry? Do animals create
new paintings, sculptures,
symphonies, and books of
poetry that they and other
animals can enjoy?18
19. Question #2: Why Are You
Here?
Do you really understand
why you exist? Surely this is
a fundamental question that
everyone wants answered.
Without meaningful goals,
life is senseless and empty.
Lack of purpose leads to
unhappiness and even
mental disorders. People
need a sense of fulfillment
and accomplishment in life.
19
20. Do you really understand why you exist?
Surely this is a fundamental
question that everyone
wants answered. Without
meaningful goals, life is
senseless and empty. Lack
of purpose leads to
unhappiness and even
mental disorders. People
need a sense of fulfillment
and accomplishment in life.20
22. Some pursue riches and
material possessions.
They believe material
things will make life happy
and pleasant. But then
they always want more: a
bigger house, newer car,
nicer clothes and furniture,
etc. They are never
satisfied. 22
23. All people need some material goods, but is this
the highest goal of life? Some pursue pleasure:
entertainment, recreation, travel, etc. Their goal in
life is "fun, fun, fun." "Wine, women, and song" (or
"drugs, alcohol, and free love"). "Be a party
animal." "Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow
we die."
23
25. Question #3: Where Are
You Going?
Do you understand
what comes after
death? You may or
may not feel that
your life on earth is
secure, but what
happens when you
die? What will your
destiny be when life
is over?25
27. Do you understand what comes after death?
You may or may not feel
that your life on earth is
secure, but what happens
when you die? What will
your destiny be when life
is over?
27
28. Many People Are
Confused or Unsure
about What Comes
after Death. We can be
certain that death is
coming. We may not
like it, but death is a
fact of life.
28
29. Someday you will wish you had lived your life for
God. If you are not living it for Him now, I urge you
to find out what His will requires of you. If you
already know, I urge you to obey while you have
opportunity.
29
30. Bible has the answer to the most important
questions of life. There is no need to go through
life wondering "what it is all about." Why not find
out and begin to live according to the purpose for
which you were made?
30
31. In order for you to live
the most perfect life
on earth you need to
find out the reasons
why you were and
then live your life
accordingly.
31
32. The book of Genesis is
considered one of the most
important books in the
Bible. Without the book of
Genesis, the whole Bible
would have been difficult to
understand. The book
deals with the origin of the
world, human kind and with
our purpose.
32
33. There are blessings that result when we put God
first in our lives; there is order, light, growth, and
abundance. Without God, life has no meaning or
purpose and without purpose, life has no value.
Without value, we have no hope. The name God
means a Supreme Being, in Hebrew, “Strong,”
“Mighty.” It shows invincible power. God is the
most important word in this verse. He is subject,
the one that does the action and deserves all the
credit. He gives purpose to His creation.33
34. God wants to create a new person filled with
hope. God wants to give you His identity so you
can fulfill your purpose. This act of creation sends
a message to the different philosophies of this
world:
34
35. ⋆ To the atheist it says that creation
was the work of God.
⋆ To the polytheist it says there is
only one God.
⋆ To the pantheist it says that God is
apart from and independent of His
creation.
⋆ To the evolutionist it says that the
universe was created and did not
evolve.
⋆ To the materialist it says that matter
is not eternal but was itself created.
⋆ To the existentialist it says creation
has a purpose.
35
36. What is your purpose?
God created you to be full of Him.
He gave Adam and Eve the task
to fill the earth, to be steward of
the earth, and to be a blessing to
others. Why did God create you?
Number 1, to fill you with His
Spirit and number 2, to be a
blessing to others. In other
words, the purpose of human life
is to serve, and to show
compassion and the will to help
others. 36
37. You were created with purpose.
God has a plan for you. You are
important to Him. Since you
were in your mother’s womb, He
was there for you. Psalm
139:13-14 says “For You
formed my inward parts; You
covered me in my mother’s
womb. I will praise You, for I am
fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works, and
that my soul knows very well.”

“ILLUMINATED BY LOVE”
(June 5, 2018- 6:15 Pm)
It was made by a promise
It was created out of Love
Living for a purpose
I am His majestic Creation
Out of dust I came forth and in His breath, I have life
With His power I stand
And in His voice I glorify
I worship Him with a Spirit
And in understanding I let Him know
That He is my Father forevermore
And I am His son Illuminated by Love!
