  1. 1. Welcome to Our Class Blog First Certificate and Cambridge Advanced English Language Activities
  2. 2. Who Is This Blog For? <ul><li>This blog is aimed at my students in First Certificate and Cambridge Advanced Classes. It is going to be an added resource to our face-to-face classes. I will suggest activities to do. The activities will be of a voluntary and self-correcting nature. </li></ul>
  3. 3. What are the objectives of this blog? <ul><li>To provide an interactive space for my students where they can work on their own to improve the four skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening.
  4. 4. To facilitate their learning process by providing links to websites and a variety of multimedia areas that will be useful to them in their preparation for sitting the Cambridge exams.

  11. 11. Communication in a Foreign Language <ul><li>This refers to the knowledge and skills needed in a foreign language to communicate confidently and with a positive attitude. </li></ul>
  12. 12. Learning to Learn <ul><li>The ability to effectively manage one's own learning in order to promote autonomous learning with self discipline. To be able to evaluate one's own work and seek advice accordingly. </li></ul>
  13. 13. Cultural Expression <ul><li>This is connected to the importance of the creative expression of ideas, experiences and emotions in a range of media to include music, film and literary and visual arts. </li></ul>
  14. 14. Interpersonal, Intercultural and Social Competences <ul><li>The ability to communicate constructively in different environments and to negotiate, empathise and collaborate with confidence and integrity. </li></ul>
  15. 15. Digital Competence <ul><li>This includes the skills needed to retrieve, access, store, produce and present information via computers and to communicate and participate in a collaborative way via the Internet. </li></ul>
