• Successfully delivered the $4M Data Pipeline project resulting in an upgraded system that

teacher data to student outcomes. This was and continues to be a highly political project
with many stakeholders to manage.

Applications Manager/Project Manager
Managed 13 personnel (Programmers, Business Analysts, System Analysts, Database
Administrator, and Testers) accountable for the on-going maintenance, development and
implementation of projects for 2 call centers supporting over 600 employees. Challenged to
improve responsiveness, increase quality of work as defined by quicker development times and
fewer software defects, and integrate disparate technologies.
Improved quality and responsiveness by aligning IT team with business units to develop business
expertise.
Managed small to mid-sized IT projects ranging from $50K - $200K. Ensured projects are
delivered within expected timelines, budget, and remained in compliance with DORA policies
and State/Federal law. Assessed risk impact on projects and implement mitigation strategies.
Notable Accomplishments:
• Implemented a web-based system that automates the collection of premium taxes
exceeding $170 million for the Division of Insurance saving them significant resources used
to manually intake the monies.
• Implemented the Physician Profile web application for the Division of Registrations. State
laws require profiles on physicians be collected and posted on the public website, therefore
allowing Colorado citizens to search potential physicians for any disciplinary actions taken
against a physician.
• Reduced the cost of processing documents filed in litigation suits by implementing an
Electronic Filings system for the Public Utilities Commission (PUC). Prior to implementing
this web application, the PUC accepted filings in paper form which most filings exceeded
100 pages. This web application automated the entire process and saved the PUC as well as
the public thousands of dollars in paper printing.
• Created a project management culture throughout DORA by establishing policies and
strategies that define how projects are initiated, planned, controlled, executed and closed.
• Provide project management consulting services to executives, division directors and staff
that include, developing time and cost estimates for projects; allocating resources to
adequately support DORA’s business goals and objectives.
