Self-Report – Class 4 Video Recording
During this class, we continued working with pets and their descriptions. Again, I must
encourage to students to repeat the vocabulary or topic using structures, I repeated in
many occasions some structures, so then, they started to repeat using the structures that
correspond.
Another aspect that I have to improve is related with the time. The class is about 40
minutes, I developed a lot of activities that are quite short, but the real - time inside the
class is about 30 minutes because three minutes before starting the class they had a break.
So the most of the classes I did not have enough time to finish the activities or close the
class in a correct way.
On the other hand, this group does not have the habit to sing the hello or bye – bye song,
so it was really hard made that they sing it. At the end of this class, some of them sang but
the rest of the class showed shy when I encourage to sing.
Finally and related to strategies, I have to confess that this is a great group, they work
really well but they are very talkative, and on many occasions, they could not listen what I
am trying to say or explain. Also, they speak together without respecting their partner’s
turn. So to control the level noise, and taking into account Aurelia’s comments, I started to
use a flashcard with a traffic light, every colour represents the level of voice that they
could use. So if we were working or participating I marked colour red. And it worked, they
respected the colour and called their attention themselves when someone did not respect it.

Self report class 4 - primary

  • 1. Self-Report – Class 4 Video Recording During this class, we continued working with pets and their descriptions. Again, I must encourage to students to repeat the vocabulary or topic using structures, I repeated in many occasions some structures, so then, they started to repeat using the structures that correspond. Another aspect that I have to improve is related with the time. The class is about 40 minutes, I developed a lot of activities that are quite short, but the real - time inside the class is about 30 minutes because three minutes before starting the class they had a break. So the most of the classes I did not have enough time to finish the activities or close the class in a correct way. On the other hand, this group does not have the habit to sing the hello or bye – bye song, so it was really hard made that they sing it. At the end of this class, some of them sang but the rest of the class showed shy when I encourage to sing. Finally and related to strategies, I have to confess that this is a great group, they work really well but they are very talkative, and on many occasions, they could not listen what I am trying to say or explain. Also, they speak together without respecting their partner’s turn. So to control the level noise, and taking into account Aurelia’s comments, I started to use a flashcard with a traffic light, every colour represents the level of voice that they could use. So if we were working or participating I marked colour red. And it worked, they respected the colour and called their attention themselves when someone did not respect it.
