2. Week One
This week we started with our client project and did our audience
research. This was quite complicated for me as I struggle to do this
sometimes. The nice part of this though was that I have access to my
client at almost any time so I can ask for reviews or opinions often
through the project. I did find this quite hard to do seems that I could
not find too much online about this charity that I chose, as it is a
smaller one that is not well known outside of the collection of people
that use it. This led to a massive lack of information, although I was still
able to complete this step as I have had a lot of personal experience
with them as I have been helping out with them for multiple years,
meaning a lot was just personal knowledge.
3. Week Two
This week we were planning our work and seeing what we would like to do for our
clients. This was going through initial ideas in a mind map, which was quite hard as I
found it complex to come up with ideas off the top of my head. I am very happy that I
had a client that had given me an idea of what they are wanting me to create in some
way. This helped me intensely as it made sure that I had an idea of what the wanted. It
also helped me a lot that I am already really familiar with the charity and am familiar
with their needs and abilities, so that I already have a good idea of what they would
want and need in this website. This made it a lot easier for me and took away a lot of
my pressure and stress from just having to come up with ideas straight out of
nowhere. This made it more possible. After this part, we needed to start developing
the ideas that we really wanted to do. For this part, I wanted to send my ideas to my
client and see what they thought of each of them and anything that they would want
me to change or develop different. Although I was still waiting for feedback, I feel that I
have done a decent job of this planning as I generally struggle with planning a bit, but I
have just about managed to develop an idea about this idea.
4. Week Three
This week we were continuing with the planning. This was helped that I
had gotten some feedback from my client over the weekend and so I
had some more ideas to go off of with my production. I had many more
ideas of what I needed to do during my work and what my client liked
so that I could plan it accordingly to their preferences. This made me a
lot happier with my planning as it meant that I was getting constant
feedback and reassurance that I was on the right track, which is
something that I feel is essential through the entire process as it is very
much more productive and safe to ensure its correct and you are not
wasting your time.
