12. Questions
Q:- Do you feel the colours work well for the content? Why?
A:- Yes I do because they are quite light and seem to give off connotations of playfulness and
happiness which fit the style of nursery rhymes which are targeted towards children.
Q:- Do you feel that the illustrations are appropriate for the young audience?
A:- Yes I do because they have a cartoon type style for it which appeals to children, and they have
quite a simple style which still looks aesthetically good but it is also easy to understand.
Q:- How do you feel that I could improve the pages of the book?
A:- You could be slightly more creative with where the text is placed and how it is presented, for
example with the spider one, it could be presented in a web.
13. Questions
Q:- Do you feel the colours work well for the content? Why?
A:- The colours work well with the style of the product, as the tone of the stories is quite cheerful.
Another reason why it works is because children enjoy bright and bold colours.
Q:- Do you feel that the illustrations are appropriate for the young audience?
A:- Yes the simple designs for the characters and the background work well as it makes it easier for
a child to understand what is going on.
Q:- How do you feel that I could improve the pages of the book?
A:- You could maybe have a bit more going on in the images so that it paints a better picture for the
child reading it, and it will also bring a bit of life to the images, a bit like what you’ve done with the
2nd and 3rd images as they have bits of detail in the the background.
14. Questions

A:- Yes the colours are all the same tone so on a whole looks together
Q:- Do you feel that the illustrations are appropriate for the young audience?
A:- Yes they're quite basic and minimal detail but what needs to be portrayed is being portrayed
Q:- How do you feel that I could improve the pages of the book?
A:- Maybe edit the torso area of a few characters, proportions are a little off with chest and arms
and also placement of some text maybe think about rearranging, for example Mary had a little lamb
doesn't look as well finished as itsy bitsy spider.
15. Summary
In summary, I feel that the respondents agree with my colour choices as they are
bright and cheerful, and seem to be within the same tone so they fit together very
well.
The respondents also agree that the style is quite simple and appropriate for the
young audience as they will be able to understand and know what is happening
through the pages, as they fit with the context of the rhyme on the page. A few do
suggest making a few of the simpler pages to be a little more detailed as there is a
slight lack of interesting things to view throughout.
There are some comments through the feedback which suggest that my text is not
presented too creatively, although I feel this is better to be more simple as it will
not confuse the young audience as much.
