1. Music magazine
I have chosen to explore the dance genre, because I feel that dance is not as well-known as other
genres, and it would be a good change to the familiar Pop, R&B scene.
I hope to achieve to apply to a smaller niche market, which in some ways is a benefit as there are
less dance magazines resulting in less competition.

After the focus group meeting, I saw that a lot of people had chosen to research the Rock
genre, so I changed it, it was a choice between classical and Dance, I however chose to
Dance music as I think it is not as well advertised as other genres.
I then decided to change the colour scheme from quite dark colours to brighter bolder
colours that are associated with dance music from bands such as the Ministry Of Sound.
I stuck with the price as I think that £3 is a reasonable price for a music magazine.
I decided the name “Passion” with the help of the people in my focus group, WE liked the
name as I think dance is quite a passionate in your face genre, with a lot of energy, with the
word passions connotes.
